Smallville is quickly losing all credibility this season. Ignoring it’s own show canon to morp into “The New Adventures of BimboLois & Clark” featuring wacky hijinks & soft core porn with a character who slept with her boss. The show needs to END.

what show WOULDN’T have record low ratings after being bumped to fridays? and on that note, what show WOULD still be getting higher than a 2.5m rating on the CW on its 9th season?
i’m a chlark fan myself, but in no way has the show transformed into the adventures of “bimbo” lois and clark. this has been the best first half of a season yet and the producers are pulling out the big guns to get a tenth season. i’ve loved every single episode so far this season. as for soft-core porn, this does not qualify. if you want to see that, check out gossip girl (which, really, still wouldn’t even qualify).
point is…no flights, no tights are making for an uninspired show by now…it was okay for 2 or 3 seasons, but Clark will be in retirement before he becomes Superman at this point. I gaurentee one thing…he flies and puts on a suit and the viewers will double if not triple immediately
I think seeing the Smallville Clark in tights would seem very strange. It’s necessary eventually, but I’d say it makes sense that he has his current costume before the Superman one. They’re addressing the flight issue this season if you have been watching the show and reading the interviews. The point is that it would be a poor decision to give him flights and tights at the snap of the finger. He’s getting there, and that’s kind of what Smallville’s all about in the long run.
I agree, tights are too much, and even flight isn’t all that necessary i think. The point of Smallville is that it’s NOT a story about Superman, and I’m not watching the show to see a 21st century version of the 1970-whatever movie. I’ve seen it, I know it, and I’m not going to tune into a show each week to watch it again.
Isn’t there a comic you can go read or a convention you can attend? You’re wasting your time here.

smallville is actually doing quite well considernig it’s a show in it’s 9th season and it’s on a Friday night . As for your mean comments, there are intelligent and mature ways to express your opinion without being so nasty. Until you can do that, I’m no wasting my time responding to anything else you have to say. It’s a waste of breath. The clip was sexy. Season 9, in my opinion, is amazing. If you don’t like it, there are thousands of other options on TV. The love story between Clark and Lois is going to be a part of ANY and ALL Superman stories. Period.

I couldn’t disagree more with both of you. I like Clark the MOST this season. He is very strong and mature and I think he is trying very hard to balance his humanity with this alien side. I love seeing him doing things for himself and be proactive. To me, this makes complete sense with the previous canon. Clark is finally grown up and acting like a man. But it’s your right not to like it anymore. I understand that some poeple are big Chloe fans. I like Chloe myself but I don’t base my entire enjoyment of the show on her or her relationship with Clark. I like their friendship and I expect to see that friendship restored this season. Luckily, there are thousands of other things on tV for you to watch since you seem to hate it so much. I hope you find something that you enjoy more. Life is too short to waste it on things that yo useem to dislike so much.
ratings have been going up every episode and it’s been at the top of it’s game Friday nights. Check your facts before you assume that a lower number than last year equals low ratings in general. It’s on a different night. That makes all the difference.

I agree with you kevin. They use soft core porn of lois and clark to sell the show because it is the only way they can sell it. Ratings are not as high as they were in seasons past. Add to the mix that this could be the last season. I pray it is. Put this show out of its misery. Seriously the world could come to an end and he can suddenly have sex with lois? Really. This is a really WTF moment. From what i understand in the comics clark isn’t even suppose to know lois much less even have sex with her. Clark has more chemistry with the dog at this point. You can see why rosenbaum and kreuk won;t come back.

It’s been five years since Clark first met Lois, so I think they’ve waited a legitimate amount of time before getting to this point.
After 7 years of Lex’s shenanigans and 8 years of Clark and Lana’s painful on again-off again relationship, I’m glad they’re gone.
Don’t get me wrong, I love them when it was the right time for them to be on the show, but now is definitely not the right time.
It’s apparent that you don’t watch the show. Sigh! That clip is showing the future, not the present. And why would you degrade Erica Durance/Lois and call her a bimbo?
