Actress-turned-erotic exercise pioneer Sheila Kelley has found a plum role on the final season of Lost, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Kelley — best known acting-wise for her three-year stint as secretary Gwen Taylor on L.A. Law — will play the recurring role of Kendall, an intellectual beauty with a sharp edge to her wit who is caught committing corporate espionage and has to lie her way out.
At least that’s the info Team Sneakmeister Darlton circulated around town when they were casting the role. For all I know Kelley is replacing an AWOL Mira Furlan as Rousseau.

Screw Miral Furlan? Cynthia Watros you suck? How about we blame the writers for killing them off and not getting to their stories? They kill off the characters (Libby was killed over 3 years ago), and try to string along the actresses and have them wait and not commit to anything else? F@ck Darlton. Either keep the women on contract, or tell them WHEN you are expected to need to them so they aren’t signed up for something else. If anything, this feels like a cop-out. Since Darlton is making it up as they go along, they prob couldn’t come up with answers for Libby & Rousseau, so they wait till the last minute, know the actresses are busy, and say it’s their fault (“Don’t blame us, internet monkeys, blame those bitcas!).

I don’t understand why people still think more needs to be said about Danielle. WHAT exactly needs to be “wrapped up” with that story? We saw her team crash on the island. We saw Montand lose his friggin’ arm. We saw her go crazy and kill everyone. We saw her baby taken. We saw her crazy on the Island. We saw her reunite with her daughter. We saw her murdered.
So just what is left to say???

Actually, we don’t know if she went crazy or not. She seemed to think her friends went crazy, what with her lover being the one to term the smoke monster a ’security system’…plus the inconsistencies with her story. I felt like her backstory was rushed, giving a few hints here and there without giving away all the details (which is normal for this show). There was just more to tell, I thought…
Gotta be a recast Rousseau… Team Darlton wouldn’t put an acting lightweight like this in a new role that needs developing; Rousseau is already established and I’m guessing won’t be terribly prominent. Still… “erotic exercise pioneer”??? Wasn’t there ANYONE else?

I definitely see the resemblance, but I really wish Mira Furlan had agreed to come back. One of my pet peeves is when characters are played by different actors on shows (unless of course they’re playing the character as an older or younger version), and it will bother me if she is to be the new Danielle. Still, she looks enough like Furlan that I’d get over it.
