Fans of Chuck, prepare to be transported to Nerd-vana.
Following the casting of Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula as Chuck’s dad, sources confirm to me exclusively that another sci-fi icon has been tapped for the show. Robert Patrick, a.k.a. the T-1000, is slated to appear midway through the third season.
But rather than coming from the future, Patrick will play Col. Keller, a mysterious figure from Casey’s past in “Chuck Versus the Tic Tac,” which I hear will be a big episode for Adam Baldwin’s newly-minted colonel.
Sadly for all you Buy More shoppers, there’s still no definitive news on Chuck’s return date. (Additional reporting by Keith Staskiewicz)

As disappointed as I am about not yet having a return date, I’m buoyed by the fact that Chuck got an additional episode order and that they continue to hire guest stars.
Actually, another sci-fi icon appearing on Chuck was Bruce Boxleitner (of Tron fame) playing Aweson’s dad.

Squeeee…..I love me some Adam Baldwin but now he and Robert Patrick, together on screen again, that rocks.
Both are so intense and awesome. Robert is aging a bit harder than Adam (does he even age? what’s the deal with that?) but Robert’s still rocking it. Robert’s into Harley’s and that would SO rock if Casey and rode them on Chuck.
(My TV dream come true would be Adam on Son’s of Anarchy….I’d die of glee.)

Well, I think an older brother works almost better than a father for Casey, first, I don’t want to see Casey trying to impress anyone, but trying to one up someone..heh, heh. And it would be funny, a season after we learn Sarah’s real name (which I forget), now we learn John Casey’s.
Jenny Burton is Sarah’s real name.
