Smallville’s coolness quotient just soared to new heights.
Blaxploitation icon-turned-L-Word staple Pam Grier is joining the cast for multiple episodes, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Grier has been booked to play DC Comics villainess Agent Amanda Waller. Never heard of her? This should bring you up to speed.
The Golden Globe nominated actress (for Jackie Brown) will make her debut in the second hour of the upcoming Justice Society-centric two-parter, “Legends,” scheduled to air in late January.
Pretty cool, huh?

Okay, I’m not opposed to Pam Grier being cast as The Wall, but really, the person who should play her is the person who voiced her on Justice League Unlimited: CCH Pounder.

It’s not as if that instadebacle “Brothers” is going to need any of its actors for too much longer, either. So IMO there’s no excuse to not wait a month or so for Pounder to become available.

As awesome as this is to have Amanda Waller appear on the show, I’d rather it be CCH Pounder playing her. She did an AMAZING voice job on Justice League Unlimited and I know she could pull it off doing live-action as well. Plus, she already knows the character.

Its ridiculous how great Smallville has been this season. It rose from the dead last season and this season it’s better than ever. Even season 1 didn’t have this much of a Superman feel to it. And I can’t even put in words how amazing Callum Blue is as Zod, you just gotta watch for yourself.

Smallville has been over the top insanely good this season. The beginning of Season 8 was awesome and then it sort of lagged off at the end of last season. This season has been really really good so I’m praying that the second half of the season holds steady and strong. I really love the way Clark has manned up and become a hero. I love Oliver and Clark’s friendship. Love Zod and Tess action. I’m intrigued by Chloe as Watchtower and I’m completely in love with Clark and Lois’ romance. Hottest romance ever on the show. Love Smallville Season 9! Thanks for the scoop.

Smallville has long stopped being a guilty pleasure for me and is now a full on obsession. I freaking love it. The sad thing is that I’m sure within minutes this post will be filled with nasty rants bashing the show, Tom Welling, Erica Durance or someone else. I ignore all the haters because frankly I don’t let other people infringe on my enjoyment of the show. I think Season 9 has been the best season in YEARS. Thanks for the scoop. This new villians sounds interesting!

I always think Smallville is cooler than people give it credit for. ::shrugs:: This is another great casting choice in a year that has been filled with awesome casting. Brian Austin Green rocked as Metallo, Julian Sansd was amazing last week as Jor-El and now Pam Grier. Yay for Smallville. Still keeping people interested after 9 freaking years. That’s an accomplishment whether people want to give the show credit for it or not.

Is your television only able to get one channel for one hour a week because this show has never been “incredible” (and if it ever was it stopped being so YEARS ago), and should have been canceled four years ago.

Jen, what’s really ironic is that you showed your true immaturity by your post. A mature person recogizes that television is SUBJECTIVE–meaning that there is no right or wrong. Just because you don’t care for the show doesn’t negate the fact that others enjoy it. It doesn’t make us wrong or in high school. (I’m actually 30 years old in case you were wondering.) The only thing immature and “high schoolish” is your nasty viewpoint. Grow up and learn that there are things in this world, like a tv show, that are subjective. They are matters of opinion.
