Desperate Housewives is going back to the future, but this time it’s just temporary.
And imaginary.
An early January episode — the first following the Dec. 6 plane crash cliffhanger — will find the housewives pondering numerous “What If” scenarios.
Example: What if the plummeting jetliner had killed Susan instead of [sorry, too spoilery].
Two Wisterians featured prominently in the alternate reality sequences will be Gaby and Carlos’ youngest daughter, Celia, and Mike and Susan’s son, MJ. I know this because DH is currently casting thirtysomething versions of both characters.
Memo to Marc Cherry. Drop the plane on Julie. Trust me, everyone’s futures would be much brighter (mine included!)

Er, if the FF are imaginary, how are they copying Lost? Jumping ahead into the future at the end of S4 wasn’t like Lost’s FF reveal at the end of S3 weren’t all the similar…DH stayed in the future, Lost keeps jumping back and forth. Not quite copying…
Are they going to kill of the kids? They should kill off the kids. And the bad writing.

why want to drop the plane on Julie? She is one of the best characters and really brings out the best in Teri Hatcher’s Susan
hahaha. There is not “best” in Susan. The only thing that would be the best thing ever is if that Dave guy had killed her last season.
LOVE Desperate Houswives…HATE Susan. The characters of Bree and Lanette are so amazing and it is sad that they have to be bundled with a character as irritating as Susan. I am glad that the focus of the show revolves around all of the Housewives because it Susan had been front and center all the time I would have stopped watching the show…like I did with Grey’s Anatomy…I could not stand Meredith after the first two seasons and stopped watching after the third episode of season 3.
Yes Kill SUsan, I tired of her and Mike…>! OH and I too stopped watching Grey’s Anatomy because of Meredith and Izzie, their drama annoyes me so much…I started watching the show again this season now, that they’re both gone….too bad the bald blonde byotch is coming back in the next episode, Grey’s doesn’t need Katherine Heigl or Ellen…The Show has bn great w/out them 2….

I don’t feel bad at all for Susan. She is the least redeeming character and although Katherine is the absolute epitome of loco, I blame Susan. I’ve never like Susan. I don’t feel sorry for her, instead, I’m embarrassed for her, and sorry for Katherine who was happy with Mike and got dropped because Susan is a needy idiot.
Er, lets be honest, Katherine was the needy one last season…the way she and Mike ended up engaged last season reeked of needyness.
Could Juanita be one of them that dies? Considering they are casting the younger daughter and not the older one.

Julie is a snore and I hate how all the mysteries ALWAYS. REVOLVE. AROUND. SUSAN. DH always makes her out to be some sort of tragic martyr when all the other characters are more interesting than her.

RE: Juanita as possible casualty. You know, you might actually be on to something. I remember Marc Cherry saying at some point (towards the end of S4 and before the time jump) that they were thinking about one of the housewives going through the emotional drama of loosing a child (and no, that wasn’t referring to Gaby’s miscarriage which had already happened at the time). I thought back then that this storyline might involve Lynette (Gabby didn’t have children at the time), but revisiting the idea now, who knows… you might be right. I would not be surprised at all.
Ummm, if any housewife will lose a child or children, it will be Lynette. Her ‘in utero’s’ won’t survive whatever trauma that SHE endures over this plane crash. She could be one of the casualties on the ground from flying debris, etc.
agree – I can’t see Lynette going thru being a mother of twins again – plus, since she already feels a little guilty about thinking about having an abortion, her actually losing the twins would drive her into a very deep depression — maybe she is character that goes nuts – not Katherine that’s being hinted at!

i like Julie and she brings out the good in her stupid mother,who really gets on my nerves. The best housewife is Gaby and the most sensible one is Lynette. Katherine is a nut and needs to go. The redhead needs to get back with her husband because he really loves her. I still watch the show,but it is startigto wear thin. Where are the gay characters?

The wing of the plane should clip Lynette’s belly. This new pregnancy storyline is a truly dumb one. We’ve seen “stressed mom Lynette” a thousand times. How about giving her grown kids more to do instead?

Maybe that’s what gonna happen ; Lynette may lose her babies in this event and “have to deal with the loss of a child”, as Cherry said it might happen to one of the characters ! I actually hated the moment when we learnt Lynette was pregnant, I was like “damn, that’s lame…” (I’m really not a fan of babies moments)
You can just smell how desperate these writers are. Another gimmick after another because they don’t know how to tell a good story.
Isn’t Kyle McLachlan leaving the show? Which means Orson might not survive…
