If nothing else, NCIS‘ upcoming 150th episode will be remembered for one thing: introducing us to Tony’s dad!
Veteran actor Robert Wagner — yes, the former Jonathan Hart himself! — has been cast as the dad of Michael Weatherly’s TV sleuth, sources confirm to me exclusively. Father and son will reunite in NCIS‘ milestone episode, slated to air in January.
Got a case of déjà vu? It’s probably because Weatherly played Wagner in the 2004 TV movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood.
TV’s No. 1 show has an impressive track record when it comes to casting fathers of its lead characters. Previous daddy coups include Michael Nouri (as Ziva’s pa) and Ralph Waite (as Gibbs’ dad).
Thoughts?!

Love the idea of Gene Simmons playing Abby’s father!! Except Abby’s parents are both deaf and I couldn’t imagine Gene being about to keep his mouth shut throught a scene. I love him, but the man loves to talk.
I think Abby’s dad should be played by “William Peterson” from CSI. He knows sign language and would be a great addition to the show. Just a thought.

Wow, talk about the season of the Fathers, Eli, Tony’s dad, and Gibbs I bet Tony is gonna be like a Male Ziva, I mean Bothe his and Ziva’s fathers are clearly not saints They both have treated their kids unjustly, and tony will reliase Gibbs is the Father Figure he’s been missing from his own. Just like Ziva has…. I love how Gibbs has become dad to his four younger members of his team-family=)

Ozzy wouldn’t work because of the whole British accent thing, but Alice Cooper would be perfect for Abby’s dad.
Not only the British accent but he’s unintelligible so they’d have to caption every word he says even if the viewer didn’t have on their captions.
Abby’s dad is deaf anyway, isn’t he?
Even better – make Abby’s dad someone who is straight laced. Wouldn’t that be a hoot. Not every goth has parents who are goth. Some of them are just your everyday mom and pop.
