If you’re thinking the above headline is too good to be true, well, you’re right. But this should still send a tingle down your spine: Chuck is looking for an actress to play the guest star role of Kathleen McHugh, an attractive, strong and independent woman. The prototype Josh Schwartz and Co. are asking agents and casting directors to use? You guessed it: Connie Britton.
Love. It.

Do not give me a heart attack like that!! For a second I thought they were going to woo Connie away from FNL!
I’d swear this was old news, right down to the “protoype” thing…
NBC is in such great shape that they bench Chuck until spring and Friday Night Lights until summer? Huh?
OMG…you nearly made me die! Whew, thought they were taking Connie away from FNL…thank God!
Reason 7489 to love Chuck.
Are you kidding? I’m already at reason 10,052!
I’ve got you both beat at 10,000,000,000,000 to the power of 10,000,000,000,000 ♥♥♥♥
Screw strong and independent women. Bring back Chuck and Sarah.
And lets hope the new management doesn’t cancel the show just to pretended they are better than the previous management who green lit ‘Chuck’
She was incredible on Drew Carey back in the day. That was a great cast too.
What? Who was she on Drew Carey?
She wasn’t on the Drew Carrey Show…
You mean Spin City.
That would be so awesome if she did end up being on the show.
Oh wow, a bit actor getting a guest role on a TV show. This is such HUGE news. Connie Britton is a nobody. Who cares if she gets cast on Chuck? She’ll be on screen for 10 minutes and then she’s done. Big whoop.
You cared enough to click on the link and make a comment. Silly goose.
OMG I WOULD DIE!
Why can’t the beloved Mrs. Coach do a little double-duty on Chuck. They are both my fav. shows that are on-air right now…well, ones that aren’t technically cancelled, even if “NBC” (I”m saying the network’s name with pure venom in my head) isn’t airing them just yet.
Then I’d recommend Hedy Burress or Jessica Steen. They both fit that description.
Yes, i like Jessica Steen. She’s cool..
If they want Connie Briton, just get Connie Briton. Given that NBC airs both shows, they could work out something where she could do Chuck for an episode or two while remaining committed to FNL on a full-time basis (see: Chandra Wilson visiting Private Practice.)
Just bring CHUCK back soon, please!
CHUCK RULES!
so when’s the showing returning to TV????
