It’s not an actual Friends reunion, but I’ll take it: Lisa Kudrow has signed on to guest star opposite ex-Friend Courteney Cox on Cougar Town, an ABC spokesperson confirms.
“She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me,” Cox told tvguidemagazine.com.
The Cox-Kudrow reunion episode will shoot next month and air in early 2010.

I read on TVGuide the ep will broadcast during November sweeps. But early 2010 makes more sense. Can’t wait, though!!!
Ugh I would’ve preferred Jen Aniston and Matthew Perry but Kudrow was outstanding in the (sadly) short lived series The Comeback so it should be fun to see her in a new TV role.
Really enjoying CT and I think Kudrow will be a great, yet brief, addition. This show moves along nicely and delivers some good laughs – also enjoy seeing Christa Miller not so all out evil like she was on Scrubs. I could see this show going on for quite a while, like Lawrence’s previous shows (Spin City, Scrubs). A Matthew Perry guest spot should be next!
Funny, CC guested on Kudrow’s web series earlier this year (www.hulu.com/web-therapy); very cool that the Friends are friends and trade projects w/each other!
