Exclusive: 'Mad' man Sam Page pledges 'Greek'

Categories: Greek, Mad Men, News

Sam-Page-Greek_lSam Page (a.k.a. Joan’s jerk-face husband on Mad Men and James Woods’ ex-underling on Shark) is joining Greek in a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Page’s character, Joel, is described as a smart and accessible local campaign manager for a congresswoman.

During the casting process, Greek producers referred to the role as “McDreamy with a law degree.” I think they got the right guy for the job. (Exhibit A: The photo above.)

According to a Greek insider, Joel shares a past connection with Rebecca (Dilshad Vadsaria); he used to work on the Hill with her father.

Page will make his debut during Greek’s upcoming fourth season.

    Yes please.

Fourth Season?? Wouldn’t it be Season 3.5??

    Anyways, great casting!

    • Sam

It is 3.5. If you look at the casting breakdowns on SpoilerTV, his character is listed for Season 3.

  • John

I wonder if he’ll be likeable on Greek or if he’s suddenly being typed as a dirtbag. We’ll see I suppose.

  • David4

The way the ratings are there will not be a fourth season.

  • Brad

Hopefully this means that Joan is getting a divorce.

    • Marnie

      yes please

      • anonymous

Yes! Before he raped her he didn’t even deserve Joan. Then again, is any man worthy of her?

      • Katie R

        Roger is!

    • Shkskahjks

I bet he’ll go to Vietnam and die, and Joan will be free. Like it stated in this week’s episode, divorced women barely had any rights in those times.

  • Audrey

Yay! Fresh meat! :) I love this show’s goofy charm, and I can’t wait for the fourth season!

  • lore

    i LOVEEEEE GREEK

  • Joanie

As long as he stays away from Casey it sounds good to me!

  • Sam

I loved him ever since the (ill-received and critically bashed) Point Pleasant. As a lifeguard, he often didn’t wear a shirt. And that was just fine with me :D

  • NOLA

God, I love Sam! In everything he’s done since ‘Popular’.

I just wish he’d get a gig that lasts for more than one season.

  • Melissa

Nice! Love Greek! Thanks for the news!

  • Tego Livi

He was on an episode of CSI:NY, and in his first scene, he was basically a walk-on–but since the actor was fairly well-known, you KNEW he had to be the killer. They wouldn’t hire someone like him for such a tiny role.

  • Robbyrob

Sam Page was also on All My Children and they didn’t know what to do with him. I think he barely lasted a year or two.

  • Cece

Ahhh, Trey Kenyon. Oh, you didn’t know that our skeezy ‘Mad Man’ is a soap vet. On All My Children, he played a skeezy lawyer who was starting to redeem himself when he was written off. I’m glad he’s doing well though. And he’s yummy to look at, even if he plays skeeze to the hilt.

  • Paula

ok not a fan of this from ask ausiello’s of him being an obstable for casey and cappie…tired of the love triangle crap

  • Paige

Ack! Based on what “ask ausiello” mentioned I must say leave Casey and Cappie alone!

  • angela_p

I LOVE my GREEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I’m so happy for Cappie and Casey, I got goosebumps!

  • emma

Yeah it’s hard for the writers to continue entertaining audience without adding love drama, it’s stay a teen soap not a comedy type like The Office where Jim and Pam can stay together..so there will always obstacles otherwise we will be bored by Cappie and Casey..the tv show laws are like that ! lol

  • Inga

He’s hot! Hope he doesn’t break up Cap and Case, otherwise I will be pissed!
