Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer will guest in an upcoming episode of the hitcom as a gal pal of Charlie’s fiancee. Natch, when Chelsea hears her bosomy buddy is recovering from a breakup, she insists that she do so at Casa Harper.
Cue two and a half men with their eyes bugging out — in other words, complications.

Really dislike the show, as do many other Galactica fans, I fear. I won’t be watching, but fantastic if this gets her even more work.
Nice work with your assumptions there, Jayme, as I own the seasons for both Two and a Half Men and Battlestar Galactica! As TV’s highest rated comedy several years running I’m fairly certain there’s a little more overlap than you might think. Just because you don’t like Two and a Half Men doesn’t mean that you have to be so high minded and haughty about Battlestar fans and speak like you’re the ringleader.
i don’t mind jayme speaking for me. i love battlestar and tricia helfer but not even my love for her could make me tune into the travesty that is 2 1/2 men. terrible, unfunny show that’s popularity baffles me.

And for the life of me I can’t understand how anybody likes ‘2 and a 1/2 Men’. Ag!! it’s so bad I feel embarrased for Tricia for appearing on it.
Sorry Jason, it appears that Jayme is speaking for a lot of BSG fans. You can continue to support the most unfunny show with the most despicable leading man in TV history, but I don’t think BSG fans will.

I agree. Speak for yourself when ripping on Two and a Half Men, because there are many BSG fans I know who don’t agree with you. I loved watching BSG, and the 2.5 Men/Big Bang Theory hour is one of our fave parts of watching tv.

I just find it completely unfunny….but that’s me! It’s very similar to Everybody Loves Raymond….not my cup of tea I guess. Love some Tricia Helfer, but NO….I will not be watching. I’d rather watch “The Plan” with SIX on October 27th….can’t wait!

We don’t like it because Jake is too old to be cute anymore, and all the show has left is a long list of sex jokes. For the last couple of seasons at least the plot lines always revolve around whether Charlie is going to cheat on Chelsea and/or Mia, what new low will Alan stoop to in order to get some, and what disgusting and inappropriate “relationship” will Grandma find herself in. Oh, and Alan’s dummy…not funny and a little disturbing.

Use to love Two & a Half Men but this season has not been funny. the finance & Alan’s girlfriend have been boring & really slowed the show down. Time to dump the love interests & get back to the good ole days of dating, cheating, lying & partying or this party is over for good.
Big BSG fan here, and yes huge 2 1/2 Men fan! Definitely an overlap! Both shows are genius in their own way. It should be noted that “Men” and “Big Bang” are produced and often written by the same guys! Yet I read all the time people who praise “BBT” and trash “Men”.
Unlike TVFAN above, I love the dynamic Chelsea has brought to the show. Like TVFAN above, I too look forward to any guest star that can mess up the relationship. Charlie is gettin’ a little old to be a habitual player. This story line makes for good character growth.
I definitely will tune in. Maybe she can bring around the demise of Charlie and Chelsea. I hate them as a couple.

Love the show but hate the fact there doing the whole finance thing again after the mia mess and this is the same its just not working with the show so am all for anything thatll mess up there relationship

Love Two and a half men. I like Tricia Helfer, too. Saw her on Burn Notice; never watched BSG. This should make for some good comedy.

@ Lisa — I totally agree! Charlie’s relationship with Myra was brilliant! He genuinely liked her, and they had great chemistry. Myra was a great character. But notice how she was granted only two episodes, and this boring, non-descript, no charisma, no chemistry Chelsea is still on? Go figure. And at the expense of this show’s amazing supporting cast and original premise, no less. Go figure. What are they thinking?!

I don’t like Chelsea either! There is absolutely NO chemistry between the two of them and she’s turned him into a wimp! Has anyone noticed that the girl who plays Chelsea has been on the show twice before as different characters? I’m thinking Charlie Sheen knows this girl and likes her for some bizarre reason! Didn’t like any of the other characters she played either. The girl can’t act! Now Tricia Helfer? Great news!!

I was wondering if anyone else thought Chelsea made the show boring. She makes the show so boring. Where is Rose, I always thought as crazy as she is, her and Charlie would make a good couple, it would be so much funnier than it is now. I haven’t watched a full show this season, it is that boring. Please bring back Rose.
I’m a long time fan of Two and a Half Men (and I went to school with Michael A – he’s probably one of the biggest celebs to come out of my high school class (next to the football stars and an actor or two).
2 1/2 Men is a show I look forward to every week. Sometimes they get stuck on a plotline too long, but overall, it works for me 8 out of 10 times. I don’t watch any other sitcoms (except for Family Guy) ‘because, well, I “get it”‘…
