Actress-comedienne Kathy Najimy is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives as a police officer with a surprising connection to Teri Hatcher’s Susan.
“Susan suspects Katherine was the one who attacked Julie, so she gets [a cop] to help her,” explains Housewives creator Marc Cherry. “But then she finds out the policewoman went to high school with her — and Susan stole her boyfriend, too! So [Najimy] has been going around the past 30 years resenting her.”
Najimy’s episode is slated to air in late October.

Of course. This is where Susan’s drama comes in this season. I knew her life wouldn’t be all honkey-dorey after re-marrying Mike.
Did they have to make it so awful, between her daughter in a coma and now this lol
I hope she’ll stay around longer than 1 episode. WIthout Edie Britt, the show seems lame. They don’t utilize Gabby Solis enough and Marcia Cross is looking like absolute anorexic death. Katherine’s character was awesome in the first season she was on but now she’s lost all sense of individuality and is just plugged in to any story line where a female antagonist is needed. Lynette has had too much botox and can’t move her face, so that’s that with her. Plus, aren’t you supposed to withhold from having children after surviving breast cancer and chemo? So I don’t know what she’s doing. Finally, the new housewife played by Drea D’whatever, seems interesting, but frankly, the woman cannot act at all. Horrible line delivery…at least the kid playing her son is cute.
They should have brought back the housewife who was having an affair with Lynette’s son. She was interesting at least. They could have had her move in across the street from Lynette and make their life hell. Also, they need to utilize Andrew, Bree’s son, more. Didn’t he move in to a house near Wisteria lane or something last season? Couldn’t they have upped his character to one of the main players? Also, I think they could have done more with Lynette at Carlos’ business. Ugh, I have so many more ideas for this show, but it seems like Mark Cherry is hell-bent on ruining what was once so awesome.

I didn’t see one actual idea listed in your list of complaints which is typical of soap fans. Writing and complaining that they can do a better job yet off no real story solutions just generalities like “use this character more” or “send them on an adventure”
As far as Andrew, I believe the actor that portrays him asked to be reduced so it’s doubtful he’ll be on much (which is fine by me because it really looked like he absolutley hated playing a gay character). The only thing that I really wish would happen is that the show utilized Bob and Lee more. Almost every new couple is introduced with some season long stories but they didn’t really get that which is sad and lame
I love Bob and Lee. Of course I will watch just about anything to see the fabulous Tuc Watkins.
As for Susan’s new nemesis, bring her on. I despise Susan. I always rooted for Edie to best that annoying train wreck Susan.

Uh Paul, I have many ideas for the show. No need to be mean, as I stand behind all the criticisms I have of the show.
As for new ideas, Tom has been way too horrible of a husband to Lynette for her still to be putting up with his crap. She should have aborted/miscarried, and then left Tom for an extended period of time, now that the kids are older and she is working and making money. They could have her move in with McClusky or one of the girls, maybe even into Edie’s old house (don’t know who lives there now? she could rent it) and there could be a season long feud/reconciliation between the two characters. Perhaps they could reunite in effort to fight off that other housewife (forgot her name) that was sleeping with their son.
Edie Britt should NEVER have been killed and she should have remained a thorn in Susan’s side, perhaps taking in Gale Harold, after his return to the states. So Susan could have gone through with the marriage to him, yet broken up with him to be with Mike. So she could be living with Mike but married to Gale. Gale then living with Edie and both plotting against Susan. Mike living across from Katherine would also then be a problem. In fact, I would have preferred perhaps a pregnant Katherine than a pregnant Lynette.
As far as Solis is concerned, she needs to get back to the irreverent/fun character we knew in the first few seasons. She should perhaps begin a new venture that could include Katherine, as I think that Katherine’s best moments on the show were when she was feuding with Brie. So Solis and Katherine could somehow become involved in some sort of venture, possibly a fashion line/ or a lifestyle counselor/stylist, and threaten Brie’s empire (Brie btw is cheating on her husband with Susan’s ex this whole time). Katherine and Solis as the modern chef or new-age kind of guru/lifestylist as opposed to Bree’s traditional ideals.
Perhaps Katherine’s daughter could return to live with her and have a storyline with Julie and the new neighbor’s son.
I have many, many ideas for different directions the show could take. Unfortunately, the problems with the show, at this point, go beyond just story line, the actresses themselves, especially Lynette and Brie, are painful to look at and just can’t move their faces anymore. They are no longer “real” and do not look like women you would encounter in suburbia. Brie is really a size 0000 caterer and chef? Lynette is a hard-worn mom with a fancy bob, biceps like madonna and wrinkle-free forehead? etc, etc.
Something just doesn’t sit right.
This isn’t your typical suburbia, so I’m not really concerned with their “looks”. Brie a size 0 chef? Many drug dealers never sample their products. I don’t really see the problem especially since Brie’s anal-retentive personality and desire for perfection would counter any desire that she might have to eat what she cooks.
Yay! Peggy Hill is coming to Wisteria. Keep her around…

Ok, one thing we need to clear: Susan did NOT steal Mike from Katherine!! It’s the red head bitch who did! You just DON’T date your friend ex-husband! Especially when that friend may still have feelings for him!
BTW, I wonder what Susan will thing when the whole Bree/Karl thing is discovered.. Well, she has the experience of Karl & Eddie already…

Gawd I can’t stand Susan and Mike. I’ve always been a big Dana Delaney fan. Can’t stand the way Mike abused her. He manipulated her. It was horrible. And Susan couldn’t even apologize for going after Mike. I wish Susan and Mike would move to another show. One I don’t watch.
Why do they always try to make Susan the star of the show. Her character has been boring since season 2. In order for Susan’s character to work, she needs a counter balance. Edie and her were great together! I always wished that Edie would end up with Mike,it would make more sense. Susan is so much better with Karl, he makes her interesting. Mike makes her dull and boring. I hope thy kill Susan off actually. That would give us something to talk about.
I like Susan and Mike. I didn’t like the whole fast forward thing they did where Susan and Mike were divorced and I hated Mie with Katherine. I really wished Edie was still on the show though because her tension with everyone was great! She was balls to the wall and not apologizing for it- great! I thin they sghould start bringing back the younger generation a bit more, like Brie’s daughter. Maybe have her begin a relationship w/ Lynette’s son so that eventually they can fill vacancies left by an aging cast- botox is only going to get you so far:)
The better do something, quick. They lost 5 million viewers in their premiere. I don’t blame the people who didn’t watch: Susan remarries Mike? Boring! They should’ve kept Gale Harold in the show. At least he’s good looking. The rest of the men on the show are awful!

This is great. Richard Burgi(Susan’s ex,Karl) guested as Najimy’s old boyfriend on Veronica’s Closet!!! RB had Kathy’s face tatooed on his gorgeous chest! Burgi was hilarious. Saw Najimy at ComicCon in July, she looks great!
Why don’t they send Susan’s character away for awhile and let her grow up? She’s annoyed me for the last two seasons and I’ve about had it with the show. Her teenage daughter was always more mature than Susan. This is a tired show and viewer.
I agree with most people on here. It really is time to shake things up and kill off one of the original four.
