Former 24 heroine Reiko Aylesworth has booked a recurring role on Damages, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Not surprisingly, details about her character are being kept under wraps. The actress joins a season 3 cast that also includes new series regulars Campbell Scott and Martin Short, as well as special guest stars Lily Tomlin and Keith Carradine.
Production of the show’s 13-episode third season began last week ahead of a January debut.

I LOVE Reiko! RIP Michelle. I’m still in the first season of Damages, and this is just another reason to get myself moving to finish the first two before the third starts!

Lilly Tomlin and Martin Short is really left field casting. I love it. Not famaliar with the actress but she’ll be a welcome addition to the show. I’m anxiously waiting for Damages to start this winter.

I’m glad it’s only gonna be 13 episodes, this is one of those shows that 22 episodes is really unnecessary. the first season was brilliant thanks to the short season, the second season it felt like they kept dragging out that scene in the hotel. and all this casting news is getting me so excited.

Will this be like her much hyped Lost stint? That was such a nonstarter. I was really disappointed.
She was great on “24″ (where I developed a MAJOR crush on her), but I agree with Rob… she didn’t really do much for me on “Lost” (which is one of my favorite shows).
Hopefully, she’ll get more to do on “Damages.”
I don’t know Reiko A. at all but it is nice that a lot of actors from other tv series and fields of the performing arts are on board. Lily Tomlin, Keith Carradine and Martin Short should be interesting additions. Lily Tomlin would make for a good lawyer to butt heads with Glenn Close’s Patty Hewes.
I am glad that Glenn Close won the best actress award for the second season of ‘Damages’ no matter how Season 2 pales in comparison to Season 1. More people might be inveigled to watch Season 3 and be interested to watch Seasons 1 and 2.
Hopefully this won’t be as much of a bust as it was on Lost. I love Aylesworth and Lost is my favorite show, but her role was pointless and very brief. Can’t wait to see her on Damages though.
I love Reiko Aylesworth. I was so excited to see her name come up in something new! I can’t wait to watch her. She is the most amazing actress! she really has a lot of talent. Too bad it wasn’t used in Lost but it was in 24! She is great! This ought to be fun!
Killing off Michelle was one of the dumbest things 24 ever did. But at least we can see Reiko on Damages now. YAY!
