Wilson will at long last exorcise the ghost of ex-girlfriend Amber this season on House. According to executive producer Katie Jacobs, Robert Sean Leonard’s long-grieving alter ego will sever his final tie to Amber by year’s end.
“Wilson is still living in Amber’s apartment,” Jacobs points out. “And we said to ourselves, ‘How long can he live in the shadow of that relationship?’”
Apparently about a year-and-a-half, since, per Jacobs, “He’s actually going to move out of Amber’s apartment and into a new place way down the line in episode 8 or 9.”
Where does this leave House, who beginning next week starts crashing with his BFF? In what will no doubt be a boon to the burgeoning Hilson movement, Jacobs says they’ll get a new pad together.
Reaction? Happy Wilson is moving on? Even happier House and Wilson are making their living arrangement (presumably) permanent? Sound off below!

They lie to each other, trick one another, and differ on just about every point of view possible. Move in together? Hell, they ought to be married.
I was thinking the same thing. Is that the major arc of the season? House and Wilson are secretly married? LOL no complaints here! The only three consistent characters I adore is House, Wilson, and Cuddy. The rest are just fodders
Same here: House+Wilson+Cuddy.
Agree 100%!
Agree 1000% .HUDSON.
HUDSO FTW
You mean they aren’t married!!! =) LOL!!
all I can say is, has anyone seen the trailer to the new Sherlock Holmes. I swear that rant about Holmes up all night, playing the violin and stealing Watson’s clothes, that could so be House and Wilson.
they based the character House loosely on Holmes – check out his address…his addiction (Holmes cocaine, House Vicoden)…his love of music (Holmes violin, House Piano and Drums)…
You people are either shallow or have no idea what marriage is. House and Wilson married? They’re not even homosexual!
How can you know they aren’t? All we know is that they both have serious troubles with having relationships with women. And yes, homosexuality could be a reason of that ;pp
ohmigod! I’d die happy if House and Wilson finally realized that they belong to each other – in romantic way of course.
Oh. My. God. I love House and Cuddy but I adore House and Wilson together. This is too much. I am in House heaven. If they get rid of Thirteen, that’ll finish me off.
Agree with you all the way!
Actually judging from the trailers, it looks like both 13 and Taub are getting the boot, and chase and Cameron are coming back. It’s nice to know one show still pays attention to what the fans want.
Michael, don’t be fooled by the trailers/promos. Olivia Wilde’s not going anywhere – 13 is here to stay. I didn’t mind the character in season 4, but when they started shoving her and all her issues down our throats in season 5, and then hooked her up with Foreman for that Boreteen bore-fest, that pushed me over the edge. I’ve seen a promo with 14 in bed and it sent my lunch across the Atlantic.
I think Wilson is the whole show. He is the hottest guy on TV. He needs to be given a bigger part, maybe this is step one.
I agree, if not for Wilson, House episodes would be flat as a pancake. I just hope Wilson and House do not become romatically involved!!!
Please, no! Them being romantically involved would be gross and weird. That’s not a anti-gay; I’m talking about those two characters as they have been played and written over the years.
no not romantically related – but definitely Odd Couple – House (Oscar Madison), Wilson (Felix Unger)…still love the episodes of the practical jokes where Wilson saws through his House’s cane and then at the end of the episode tells House that he souldn’t sit on a particular end of the sofa…
totally disagree! I’ve been waiting for some House/Wilson romance since season 1. BRING IT.
Word, Sara. ( I know it will never happen, but. . . )
Would DEFINITELY NOT be ‘gross and weird’.
I also agree. Bring on the House/Wilson lovin’…
I don’t want to see House and Wilson romantically involved. House is masculine and should stay hetero–maybe with Cuddy. And I’m sick of 13’s issues.
Leslie: it’s funny. The way they have been played and written over the years is exactly the reason I think them showing deeper, even romantic feelings for each other would be awesome, sweet and perfectly IC.
Maybe he was just being sarcastic, but I saw an interview with Leonard and Edelstein (Wilson and Cuddy) and Leonard said he liked to work as little as possible, so he probably won’t be getting more exposure. I agree with you though; I love Wilson.
I SO AGREE!
Wilson is such an epic character, we should get so much more of him!
I agree!!!
I. SWEAR. TO. GOD. IF WILSON AND HOUSE HAVE *ANY* SORT OF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP I WILL. NEVER. WATCH. ANOTHER. EPISODE. AGAIN. END OF STORY.
Use your inside voice, Brittany.
Brittany, Brittany calm down. The only time you’re going to see House half naked, groping, fondling, writhing and grinding is with Cuddy or some other female. We had to endure that crap with Boreteen, which made me almost hurl. And that Huddy kiss was so nasty, I rarely watch the episode in which it occurred. I’m a fan who prefers great dialogue to bump and grind which is why I love, love House/Wilson (Hilson). House/Wilson is romantic in the classic black and white forties genre. In that era everything was done with music, lighting, heated looks, furtive glances, and the occasional mostly chaste kiss or wrap around hug. I think of House and Wilson as soulmates. Their relationship is bromantic, romantic, and just plain sexy. It really doesn’t require all that visually nasty stuff we get with het ships. I know House loves Wilson and I know Wilson loves House. In the Itch House having a bad nightmare and who did he run to in the middle of the night – Wilson!! Now that’s hot. House telling Dr. Nolan if he and Wilson were any more connected they’d have to unzip is an awesome Housian way to describe how close they are sans the sex.
Happy?! Of course!!! House and Wilson are awesome, that will be fun!
Okay, I won’t complain, because seriously, any spoiler that does NOT involve Huddy is great)
(But sorry, I have to say it: that’s rather old news, isn’t it?
Agreed. The spoiler could be about a rabid kitten attacking the staff at PPTH and as long as there is no mention of Huddy or 13, I’d be happy.
THE BURGEONING HILSON MOVEMENT?! AUSIELLO, you are a nutcase! I love you, but you’re delusional. That “movement” has been the strongest and most rabid since season 2 or 3. You’re just blinded by your strange and unrelenting Huddy focus.
Sing it, Lila!
Word!!
SRSLY!
Seconded. They’re slash-ibility was clear from previews alone.
Preach! It astounds me how anyone paying attention could fail to see that. LOL.
Ausiello has obviously never dropped in on the IMDB House board. That place is Hilson central and has been for years.
Agreed. Ausiello is a Huddy fangirl and doesn’t have a clue how small that part of the fandom is and how LARGE the House/Wilson faction is. Neither do TPTB at House, for that matter.
More House/Wilson. No more 13/Foreman, no more Chase/Cameron drama and NO MORE HUDDY, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
This storyline sounds AMAZING.
THese two are the “new” Odd Couple or an older (by not much) version of the Harper Boys – Alan and Charlie!!
Why can’t two guys, who happen to be best friends, live together without being gay?
Why can’t House and Cuddy have chemistry without getting romantically involved?
The answer to both questions is that this is television, and TV drama depends on romantic intrigue. Fact of life.
Why can’t House and Cuddy have chemistry without getting romantically involved? Because that’s where lazy TV script writers have taken us. They know that a Huddy romance will create conflict (which is what TV drama REALLY depends on) Romance is NOT always a byproduct of chemistry between two people. Best friends have chemistry but they don’t get all kissey face in the real world. Sheesh!
Amber, no one has any idea what your point was.
Yeah, seriously, House/Wilson has been a huge ’ship forever. It might be growing, but “burgeoning” sounds like it just started!
I’m a House/Cuddy fan all the way BUT I LOVE HOUSE/WILSON TOO!!!
This is going to be so amazing to watch, I can just imagine all the hiijinks and just, OMG, it’s going to be one of the best seasons. I can feel it in my bones.
Some of the BEST and FUNNIEST episodes were when these two were roommates!!! I agree with Mandy – the New Odd Couple!!!
ITA. This should be fun. As Holmes and Watson have a great friendship, so do House and Wilson!
Given that the House/Wilson interchanges are unquestionably the best thing about the show, this is great news.
House and Cuddy for ever!! LOL
That’s a good tidbit of news though.
Huddy? What’s Huddy? House/Wilson rock the House baby! Always has, always will. Living together. Bring it on!
Huddy? I’ve never heard of that word! LOL
Bring me some Hilson lovin’!
My favorite part of any episode of House is when Wilson and House are together. They are just great fun! Robert Sean Leonard is totally fantastic!
Sounds like good TV to me!
Hilson forever! I love it!
The House/Wilson friendship is all sorts of fun, so any chance of seeing them live together again is awesome. At least this time it’s official and not one crashing at the other’s place.
