Betty Suarez is boldly going where she has never gone before: inside a one-piece.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Ugly Betty is heading to the Bahamas next month to shoot an episode on location at the Atlantis Resort and Casino.
I’m told most of the cast will be making the trek for the special episode, which will air in November and revolve around a big Mode photo shoot. “Location shoots can make or break you as an editor, so it’s a big deal for Betty,” reveals my Ugly mole, who adds “there’s also some drama with a certain love triangle.”
I hear said love triangle involves Betty, Matt, and a third party I’ve been asked not to name. Care to hazard a guess? Head to the comments!

Please not Henry again!! I’m getting sick and tired of these constant love triangles on this show, especially if Betty’s involved. And please get rid of Matt. He’s nothing more than spoiled brat with daddy issues that treats Betty horribly. And now he’s Betty’s boss? Ugh!
Hopefully, it’s Gio! Otherwise, yawn. (Plus I hope that’s the end of the boring Matt match-up.)

You have to be kidding me. The old ideas were better. I dislike the new plots and characters. So I am not going to stop until Horta remembers which is the show we used to like. I guess many people just settle down for low quality material.

Gosh… ANOTHER love triangle? Do the writers of this show only passed that subject in their writing studies? and with Matt Hartley?! But… he’s so boring!! Almost nobody likes to see him on screen and we are tired of him in this show. In this show love triangles mean one (or two) of the love interests are going to GO.
I hope it’s Matt. GET RID OF MATT! you’re one of the most boring characters in TV history.

Hey, Ausiello. Back in June YOU posted another spoiler that the show tried to cast another Gio Rossi-type of character (I think writers are trying poorly to satisfy mildly the tons of viewers that want Freddy Rodriguez back on the show).

I’m with John – forget Gio. His salami is rotten. Henry? Old news, and the story is closed. I hate love triangles. Why did they even bring in Matt in the first place? Give Betty a reprieve from romance for the time being. But if she needs to be with someone at the end, um…I guess it should be someone with whom she has a strong bond. So, that would leave Daniel Meade.

It’s Bobby. He is going to be played by Adam Rodriguez. Sources claim that he’s Hilda’s old high school sweetheart, and that Hilda and Betty will both have a thing for him.
You’re all presuming that the third party is after Betty. It could be a woman who is interested in Matt.
That’s what I was thinking. And didn’t Ausiello spoil (a while ago) Matt having a new love interest?
it’s possible someone could be interested in Matt like Sir Lizard said, but I’m leaning towards Betty possibly Bobby. Not sure how Betty feelings are for Matt at that point since Matt will be giving her a hard time & despite Matt giving Betty a hard time, I think Matt is not over her..

I usually skip over Betty’s scenes because they bore and annoy me…flitting from guy to guy is NOT cool, Silvio. Bring back the season 1 Betty that actually cared for people.
As for this rehashed storyline, its probably going to be the “loveable, blue-collar” guy they were casting over the summer. Sounds like Gio to me – but won’t be. What a disappointment.

I watched the original Betty “telenovela” years ago. The main storyline in it (and in practically EVERY version worldwide) is about the love affair between Betty and her boss. It is even stipulated among the show’s creative team and Fernando Gaitan, the creator of “Betty”, that every version has to follow that plot sooner of later, which also includes the inevitable makeover and love triangles. And since “Ugly Betty” has been suffering in the ratings this past season, it smells like the show will start jumping the Betty/Daniel shark soon, just like it is jumping the makeover shark. I’m just sitting back and watching this unfold…
Michelle, I agree with you about the plot. But lets not forget that tv shows in other countries usually don’t run for longer than a few years. For example, The Office in Britain starring Ricky Gervais ran for just two years, concluding with a special to wrap up loose ends. So they are more fast-paced and more happens in a shorter period of time. It’s just in North America, it seems, that every show is milked and milked and milked for all it’s worth. But, they could feel that this is the year to follow suit.
I wish it was Daniel!!! It would be great to be DANIEL!!
