best news i’ve heard in many weeks about Dr.horrible. i’ve been replaying dr.horrible all day when im home and sing to it at full blast. which reminds em to buy the soundtrack. i honestly thing this year’s emmy’s will be the best in a long time. go NPH!!!
Legendary! NPH was enough of a reason for me to watch the Emmys but a Doctor Horrible number? Who cares who wins? The show will be awesome regardless!

I’m still waiting for someone to explain how the heck Dr. Horrible was nominated for an Emmy when it has nothing at all to do with television. Anyone?
It was a brand new Emmy category, something like Short Form Live Action Fiction whatever. BSG webisodes were also nominated. It’s the Emmy’s being up to date and recognizing that the Web is influential in how we watch things. (Or in my Joss loving mind a way to give Joss his long overdue Emmy!)

My friend and I don’t believe that Russell Hantz – the evil contestant on the new Survivor Samoa – is really a multi-million dollar oil company owner as indicated on the cbs.com survivor web site. Can you use your contacts to confirm our thoughts that he is just an actor? Generally, you’d find hometown stories in local newspapers on the contestants. We tried to look him up in papers near Dayton, Texas where he is from – absolutely zilch came up. No hometown boy makes good stories. Now, that’s weird!
You’re ignoring the possibility as an oil man he’s hated back home in which case no one would care.
I read probst’s blog talking about how reality shows are such a great platform for actors. And that was also a red flag for me. I couldn’t find the guy on linked in or even a web site for said oil company.

I love NPH but I think this year will be the first time ever I won’t watch the Emmys. First, I can’t miss the season premiere of “Curb”; and second, I could care less who wins. I can’t even watch all those Emmy darlings (Mad Men, 30 Rock, et al) so I have no show to root for, and thus no interest in who wins or loses.
The Emmys are so last decade.

I was already planning to watch, and this just makes me more excited for it. Considering that Dr Horrible already won an Emmy (in a brand new category), I think this is an excellent way to celebrate its achievement.
