Jericho’s Lennie James has snagged one of this fall’s most sought-after roles: Tim Roth’s Lie to Me nemesis, Ray Marsh.
The character, who will be introduced in this season’s fifth episode, is described as a charming Brit who ran scams with Lightman way back when and who is now on the FBI and Scotland Yard watch lists. Ray once took the fall for Lightman and spent time in prison as a result. Now, after a 20-year estrangement, Ray is back to collect what he believes he is owed.

I don’t watch Lie to Me but I watched Jericho. Lennie James is an amazing actor, I think Lennie will be great for the role after reading the character description. Any show would be lucky to have him as a part of their cast.
Oh fantastic, I’m so excited.
I think Lennie James would be wonderful as anyone’s nemesis. He was my favorite part of Jericho and I look forward to seeing him in Lie To Me.
I like Lie To Me and I’m a huge Lennie James fan (RIP Jericho) so it’s all Kool and The Gang!
The pilot of Lie to Me didn’t hook me, so I’ve not seen the rest of the first season.
But the casting of Lennie makes me want to.
YAY!!!! LOVE this show. I find myself trying to read people’s faces now. Love LOVE LOVE Lightmans character.
Loved Lennie in Jericho! Lie to me is lucky to get such a talented actor.
Nice! Is Lennie a Brit? He was very cool on Jericho, look forward to his eps!
Loved Lennie James on Jericho. He’s an awesome actor. I’m sure he’ll do well on Lie to Me.
excellent addition of Lennie! He and Tim will work great together. Can’t wait for it to start.
I may actually watch this show now, I loved Lennie James in “Jericho”.
Lennie will be a solid gain for Lie to Me. I’m sorry he won’t be playing a character that replaces the obnoxious Cal Lightman (Tim Roth). If he were, I just might start watching the show.
I watched “Lie to Me” on and off last year. Now with Lennie on the show, I’ll be sure to tune in and/or record it for later. Lennie did an absolute bang up job as Hawkins in Jericho and his American accent was spot on. Loved him. It will be interesting to see him play a Brit.
This show has just improved 100% !!
Loved Lennie James in Jericho and have been lucky enough to have met him in person. He is a wonderful actor and an incredibly nice man. I can’t wait to see him on this show.
well yeah da yam
I don’t know Lennie James but I’ll take anything to put off the Lightman/Foster ship.
I watched a few eps of Lie To Me and liked what I saw but for some reason it didn’t stay on my radar, probably because it was on FOX and they usually cancel the drama series I get into. Now, because of Lennie James, I am so intrigued to give it a second chance (the way it looks like FOX is). I just hope his storyline is resolved before FOX inevitably pulls the plug, and I’m too deep into it.
Lennie is DA BOMB!!
From my heart to yours,Lennie.
Good luck and have fun!
Love from lovejohnston
I miss Jericho!
CBS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Lennie James was awesome in Jericho, fans of this show are in for a treat.
As long as he can keep up with Tim Roth, I’m happy! Bring it on!
I did not like Lennie on Jericho and I won’t like him on Lie to Me, in fact I may not watch it now.
Lie to Me was my favorite show to watch last year and now to see some of Lightman’s skeletons come back to haunt him… I can’t wait!!
Watch 3 shows and you’ll be hooked
Lie To Me was one of my Favs last year. I never missed an episode. I can’t wait for this season to start. Tim Roth is wonderful.
Want to see if he can play well off Tim. If he does, this will be dynamite.
So sad their doing the Cal/Gillian thing. Keep him with his ex. Gillian deserves better than either Cal or Alec.
And I hope they make Sean Patrick Thomas (plays Torres’ FBI boyfriend)a more prominent character now that they’re going to work on more FBI cases. I so want him to kick Loaker’s butt.
I love Lie To Me! It too was one of my favorite shows last season! Don’t know this new Actor that’s coming; but I can’t wait for the new season to start! When will it return?
LOVE Lennie James! Really liked Lie to Me last season, so now I’m doubly looking forward to Season Two! (I also met Lennie in person and a nicer, more humble and gracious man you will never meet…)
Yes, Lennie is British and also a playwright. Check out his Wikipedia entry … and yes, he was excellent in Jericho and you would never have guessed he was British! I’m excited that he’s back on American television and believe he chooses his roles carefully, so I have high hopes for this show getting even better.
