Awesome! Especially since I know a ton of people that watch, but none that would appear in the official ‘ratings’. True Blood has huge numbers in reality.

      HI I NEED YOU HELP

    • Phnam Nyguen

Shows about bats and vampyres should not be on the televsion because it is pure evils. We shouldnot be having these things like this. Very scarey.

      • heather Perkins

If you don’t like it? Don’t watch! Problem solved.

      • Ike

        Your grammar is scares me.

      • FrZeN

there is no place in the world for close minded thinkers like you, Closeminded ppl like you create more evil then a tv show, so get over it and go to hell

      • True Blood lover

you might want to learn how to spell and then stop watching the show. problem solved!!

    • Phnam Nyguen

Dear Miss. heather, I don’t say that I don’t like it. I just says that shows are evil with the scarey things. Also, I do not like to watch scarey things like this, but that is not problem because I don’t watch.

Do us all a favor by not speaking or commenting at all on tru blood. If you dont like it or it scares you you are wasting your breath because nobody cares about your fellings towards the show.

  • mary

This was by far the best episode of the season. I was so happy that Eric was in it for more than 2 minutes. FINALLY!

  • marcela

    mary you’re so right!!!
thank goood for finally put mooore skarsgard hotness!!!!
    eric is so hot!!
    alexander was great!

    • MDP

YES! I looovvveee Eric! And Skarsgard does a wonderful job. I hope they keep giving him more screen time!

  • topazbean

Yay them! Call me an eternal pessimist, but I’m always surprised when a second season improves on its previous ratings. Maybe there’s hope for Dollhouse yet! You know…maybe…

    • Echo

Dollhouse is so gonna kick boo-tay this season. Seriously, if you are a Buffy fan, go back and watch season one to see how rough it is and then suddenly watch the genius that is season two. I feel like the writers now know what they want to do with the show, so we can sit back and watch genius take place….hopefully before it gets cancelled.

  • EntertainmentBlogger

Never seen it. Never seen Twilight. Some of us are not into vampires….but hey, happy for you all. And yes, I tweet ratings news too!

    • kmay

      hey mike suck it

    • Em

Mike, i salute you. Michael Ausiello, shame on you for posting something so insignificant. its already picked up for another season.

  • TB

mike if you find this so unworthy of a post why bother taking a) the time to read it and b) the time to comment?

  • Susie

Sweet, that just proves True Blood is definitely one of the best shows to watch.

  • Lisa

    I love the series!

  • Javs

Yay for the news and yay for reporting the news (just adds to the press). Last Sunday’s episode was truly noteworthy and it seems as though this next episode will be just as brilliant :D

  • Recycle

if HBO would only start repeating the 2nd season, they would have an additional viewer in me. apparently, they dont have a deal with DirecTV for their on-demand service.

    • Javs

That is no good. It does annoy me sometimes since I only have HBO (no HBO2 or whatever HBO channel that sometimes plays earlier episodes) and no DVR so I can’t watch any of the past episodes.

      • kmay

if you have netflix you can rent season one

      • sara

        U can watch it online.

      • Javs

No netflix :( And I meant there’s no *legal* way for me to rewatch the episodes, sara ;D

      • charmer1

I’m sure there will be a True Blood marathon at one point.

      • FrZeN

Streaming content from sites like watchtrueblood.net, its streaming nothing is downloaded to your pc and the adds pay tivo, so where is it illegal

  • XK

I watched the first few episodes of Season 1 on DVD, and thought it was overall pretty terrible, with people acting dumb for no reason but to service the plot.

I’m curious if I should give it another shot. Was it just a bad start for the show, or do you fans feel those first 3-4 episodes were representative of the show as a whole?

    • Stephanie

XK-I didnt care for the first few episodes either but think the show has really picked it up. People (Sookie) still do things that annoy me but later episodes improve. Some of the more recent episodes have storylines that are easily mirrored in today’s society and the end of season 1 saw characters like Sam and Lafayette really flesh out. I would recommend giving it another shot but like me you may find it to be more of a guilty pleasure than a really really good show.

    • Javs

I liked the season 1 pilot but season 1 as a whole lost me a couple of times. Season 2 is a big step up and more consistently good, IMHO, especially if you can get to last Sunday’s episode. There are still some times where I’m not a huge fan of the writing, but again, overall it’s much improved.

    • linden

I didn’t particularly care for the first season, but I’ve really enjoyed the first season so far. I would even go so far as to suggest just starting with the second season; there’s really only a few plotlines that need any backstory.

  • freckles

umm yeah, sunday’s episode..the brief couple of minutes with eric and jason.. those two are hot. especially eric.

  • Danny

The second season actually is a lot better than the first season. I thought the first season got off to a slow start as well and I couldn’t get over the gap in Sookie’s teeth, it annoyed me in every scene. Now they seem not to focus on it as much, and the fact that she is essentially Buffy without superpowers. She’s too much of a victim to be a compelling character and Bill follows her around like a puppy dog. I honestly like the supporting cast much more than the main characters which is strange but its like when Buffy and Angel got too mushy, then at least you had Willow and Xander and Oz and Cordelia to focus on. In this Tara, Jason, Sam,Eric, Lafeyette, Hoyt and Jessica all make compelling characters enough for me to ignore the fact that the main characters act goofy the majority of the time.

    • Pete

I hate to break it to you Danny but they weren’t ever focused on the gap in Sookie’s teeth. She had a lot of nude scenes and I’m sure they were much more focused on filming her rack and rump than on something as insignificant as a gap in her teeth. Only a moron would get fixated on something like that.

  • Ashley

I can’t wait for next Sunday. I recently bought the 1st season, watched it in two days, ordered HBO and bought the books which I read in a little more than a week. Can you say obsessed? I think True Blood is different from any series on t.v. I would like more episodes next year HBO.
