Spotted: Some serious fierceness on the Upper East Side.
Sources confirm that Tyra Banks has signed on to appear on Gossip Girl this fall — and she’s not playing herself. The model-turned-media mogul will guest as an actress co-starring in a film with Hilary Duff’s character. Banks is scheduled to show up in episode 4.
Banks hasn’t had a straight-up acting gig since 2004, when she guest-starred in an episode of American Dreams.

Ugh. I wish she was “playing” herself. She absolutely will not be convincing in any role. An actor needs to be able to disappear into a role. That’s impossible for someone with the kind of franchise Tyra has.

Huh, I watched American Dreams and I don’t remember her being on there. I know she was on Fresh Prince for a while.
She was the “musical guest” in season two and was terrible! Her song was really lousy and she looked weird and gangly next to her comparatively short backup dancers. I mean, really, how many 6-feet tall “singers” were popular in the 60s?

I hate this woman with a passion. I really do. To see her on my favorite show just makes me furious because we all know that she full of herself and doesn’t know the meaning of the word modesty.

I really don’t mind this at all. I’m not gonna press any judgment until I see how it turns out, but I’m sure it will be fine.
Honestly, I don’t care. I’m ALL about the Blair & Chuck/Chuck & Blair action!!! ROCK ON C&B….Can’t wait for Season 3!!! Here’s hoping for all Chair…All the time. GG needs to do a C&B spin-off series–seriously.

I’m going to be watching GG no matter what. At least I’ll be seeing one of my faves…Tyra! It’s nice to see they will have a tiny extra splash of colour on that show. It is direly needed.
