Sopranos vet Jamie-Lynn Sigler is joining the cast of Ugly Betty in the recurring role of Natalie, Daniel’s sexy, spiritual, funny new assistant, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Natalie replaces Betty, who was promoted to features editor in last May’s season finale.
See? Only slightly misleading.
Sigler will debut in Betty’s second episode (the first after the two-hour premiere on Oct. 9).

I’m glad Jamie-Lynn got more work with this and Entourage. We haven’t seen enough of her since The Sopranos.
She may be pretty, but as her work on the Sopranos showed, she can’t act. Great to have you aboard the Ugly express!

Score another Soprano feather in the ABC hat. Drea, the perfect fit for Desperate Housewives and now Jamie Lynn cast perfectly in the role of Daniel’s new assistant. That is going to be a riot! He will never get any work accomplished. I can see her struggling to be Betty’s equivalent on the job and failing. But, clueless and major hot in this instance will have its benefits regardless. And a 2 hour premiere- spot on!
Hopefully this will improve the writing and this show.
