Less than a year after walking off into the sunset jungle with leading man William Petersen, Jorja Fox has inked a deal to return to CSI as Sara for multiple episodes — sans Grissom.
According to executive producer Carol Mendelsohn, Fox will reappear in the Sept. 24 episode when viewers will “discover where life has taken Sara Sidle and what brings her back to the CSI team in Las Vegas.”
I’m guessing a nasty breakup is what brings her back, but maybe that’s the pessimist in me talking. What do you think is behind her return? And do you hope it becomes permanent? Sound off in the comments!

i would like it to be permanent cause i loved her and warwick and miss both of them being on the show, i figure she will come back cause one of the cases will have something personal to do with her and not because grissom and her break up or anything like that.
Makes me wonder if part of the reason she left was because of Petersen.
I know there’s alot of people who didn’t like Sara, but this show needs a shake-up.
Since Grissom left, it just hasn’t been the same. Now is Sara the answer? I don’t know… but it’s a pretty good start.

OH NO!!! I can’t stand the character Sara! I would actually consider not watching anymore. Her voice has to be the most annoying thing on the face of the earth!! I new it was too good to be true when she left! The need to bring back Grissom and Warrick!!
i think it should be for good cause the show is really going down hill since grissom left and really needs a pick me up.

I’m in total agreement with you, Kitten!!! I hope that Sara has broken up with Grissom. There was NEVER EVER any chemistry between the two of them.
When this “romantic thing” started, I became a little sickened. Grissom seemed to be unfortable and very awkward when dealing with some sort of attraction to Sara!! It was absolutely awful…
I’m sure the showrunners are thinking that Grissom Fans will come back in the hopes that Sara’s return to the show will certainly guarantee his return!!! Ya think??
i’d like to know. but then again, i love gsr and it would be sad to know that breaking up with grissom would be the reason.
i just hope it wouldn’t be the predictable.
I can only PRAY that they have broken up!! The “relationship” was so awkward from the very beginning. It was a nightmare, and really unncessary, we hope will not be repeated nor mentioned in season 10!
I am not a fan of the character but will see what happens.I may be in the minority but I liked the post Grissom stories.We got to see more of the other characters step up.The scifi convention episode was classic.

I love Jorja/Sara, but I do NOT want to see her back without Grissom, and I definitely don’t want to be hearing anything about a breakup. If that’s what happens, I’ll just be ignoring that in canon and I won’t bother to watch anymore.

Oh god please, tptb went wrong with the GSR and the jungle or whatever gsr love. Grissom will never do that not the real grissom from like 5 season, then we lost him.
But I don’t trust on tptb of csi, they are all in GSR more than in CSI that maybe he comeback with a baby and that it will be like doom! Please don’t do that!
If she comeback breaking with Grissom will be my dream. I like Sara but not when she with grissom.

I think this is a bad decision to have the character return. I don’t like the character nor the actress. The writer’s should be more creative than this.
I read that Peterssen is preparing an episode which would happen in the cabarets universe, in parallel between las Vegas (with the new team) and in Paris (with Grissom.) That would be too a very interesting episode !
I’d say they both need a job – Sarah and Jorja! That’s what’s behind it. As for the show, less interesting these days so maybe she could pump up the interest factor.
Doubtfull that her leaving had anything to do with William Petersen, he’s still there as a producer isn’t he? Anyway, I like Jordan and it’s nice to see her return but if the writing doen’t improve it won’t matter.
I feel too many episodes were too “gimmicky”, like the “star trek” episode. I like the cast though and with some stronger writing I might keep watching.
Terrible idea. Bringing back the worst character from the good days isn’t going to make this better at all.

I was not sorry to see Sidle leave. She had too much baggage she was carrying. Really liked Grissom and was sorry to see him leave but Lawrence Fishburne, in my opinion, is doing a great job in filling Grissoms place.
I really did not like Sara and don’t wish to see her come back And the pairing of Grissim and Sara was awlful. Now, I would like to see Grissim and Lady Heather back and together!
I love the actress and the character – and one of the reasons I love this show is that they hooked Grissam up with Sara and NOT the obvious Katherine. Fabulous.
Why won’t this woman stay away? That’s it….for sure I’m not watching next season.
I don’t like Sara’s character at all. I was so happy when she left. I agree the show isn’t very good since Grissom left. I keep hoping that Warrick isn’t really dead and they put him in hiding until the corruption he uncovered was taken care of. I know Petersen wanted to do movies but I think he owes the loyal fans some guest appearances or something. I never thought Grissom and Sara belonged together, bad match. Sara is too emotionally involved in things and Grissom is very scientfic-minded; how they could be a couple is beyond me. I have watched all the episodes this year and I didn’t think I would like the new guy, but I actually do. The episode with Taylor Swift was one of my favorites; I thought it was very well done. Some of the others though…meh. I will probably continue to watch but I can’t say it is my favorite show anymore.
Lawrence Fishburne is the worst on the show, all he does is dumb like, I really miss Grissom, Sarah and the rest, I wish they would come back.
I”m ready to stop watching it if Grisom doesn’t return or they put someone else better on his place. My friends think so too.

Personally, I doubt that there would be a breakup. Why on earth would she come back to Vegas if Grissom wasn’t close by; he was the only reason she came and stayed in LV to begin with.
I’d love for it to be permanent; she was my main reason for watching CSI. But I definitely want Sara and Grissom to stay together. NO more Lady Heather, please!

I stopped watching at William Peterson’s last episode. Never liked the Sara Sidle character, so that won’t bring me back. The show should have ended last season.
