J.J. Abrams and his fellow Fringe cronies are adding a new, potentially recurring role. Here are the deets:
Rebecca: A 50 year-old never-married blond female. Far from being a spinster, she is beautiful, wealthy, and completely comfortable with who she is. She also has psychic abilities, which has been both a blessing and a curse. Debuts in episode 4.
Got casting suggestions? Post ‘em below. I’m thinking Gail O’Grady or Virginia Madsen.

Two words: Kate. Vernon.
Gail O’Grady would be perfect.
I think that Melanie Griffith would be terrific in this role! She’s doing a turn on Nip/Tuck but I think it would be great to see her in this role – nobody can play “eccentric” like Melanie Griffith – think Something Wild!!
Ack, Virginia Madsen is approaching 50… but she’s still very gorgeous – so that would be great (assuming they don’t kill the character)
Donna Mills
Tracy Pollan
Jason Dohring!
Virginia Madsen, absolutely!!!!
Rebecca De Mornay…
Kate Vernon is a good one.
Or Kristine Sutherland.
Allison Janney
Kim Cattrall
What about Mira Sorvino? I know she’s not 50… but still lol

Katie Segal playing a “Peggy Bundy-esque” gal. I can see the fireworks between her and Walter Bishop already. Awesome.
Cybil Shepard…I know she’s older…but meets all of the crieria
Melanie Griffin? Ahh..no.
Allison Janey is a very good choice.
Miley Cyrus as Hanna Montana.
Nicole Kidman
Gail O’Grady or Linda Purl
I vote Rebecca De Mornay
or Katie Segal
KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!! KATIE SEGAL!!!
Ditto to Kate Vernon. I’d have the biggest nerdgasm since the time Carl Lumbly was on BSG!
Lisa Kudrow
How about Susanna Thompson (was recurring on NCIS and was just on Kings)?
or Heather Locklear?
Linsely Lohan
Emma Thompson or Cheryl Ladd
Ellen Barkin.
I’ll go for someone older than 50, so that she can be a love interest for Walter. Crazy need love too!!! I just can’t think of any names yet….to be continued
