Melanie: Sam’s plain-but-pretty female assistant. She’s in her late 20s. Five-episode arc. Debuts in episode 2.
Agent Hicks: A white male in his late 20s to mid 40s, Hicks works under Sam at the CBI Serial Crimes Unit. Five-episode arc. Debuts in episode 2.

For the woman, I’d recommend Natalie Morales. Even though a comedy or dramedy would better suit her strengths shown on THE MIDDLEMAN, I’d like to see her cast on… ANYTHING, because she’s got amazing talent.
For the male role I’m going to have to go with Battlestar Galactica alumn JAMIE BAMBER. The guy is just too darn hot not to be on american TV anymore. Oh and he’s a good actor as well.
I’d also say Jewel Staite for Melanie.
And how about Garret Dillahunt for Agent Hicks.

My eyes would explode from all the pretty if Eric Close and Simon Baker were on a show together.
Little known actor Dominic Pace. He played an ICE agent last season on Cold Case – would be a perfect fit.

I’m with Rose: Yara Martinez and Gale Harold would make a great team and entourage. Plus, how can you resist the idea: “Brian Kinney” meets Terry Kinney. (Always wondered if the character’s name was a shout-out.)

Why are they casting all these recurring roles? They have a great five-person team with great actors and characters, and the second row (Rigsby, Cho, Van Pelt) is already having too little airtime. I don’t like this.
The part doesn’t sound big enough for Gale Harold. He needs a series lead. But I agree with those who say he and Yara Martinez have a lot of chemistry together. Their few scenes together on “Vanished” were the best things in the show.
Actually, I agree with the original poster: this show has enough cast members. They got together a very interesting team. Why dilute it?
Sorry, don’t have any idea on new casting suggestion….but….I agree with Ben…why add more when(Rigsby, Cho, Van Pelt)aren’t getting enough air-time as is.
Love these three characters & of course Simon Baker.
Not a fan of Lisbon…so (IMHO)hope they cut her time & give it to new characters.
