• Psych: An American Werewolf in London’s David Naughton has signed on to guest star in the show’s Halloween-themed episode, co-written by leading man James Roday. He’ll play Dr. Ken Tucker (no connection to EW TV critic extraordinaire), a self-serving sociopath with a plan that Shawn and Gus uncover. Psych’s fourth season begins Aug. 7.
• Stargate: Universe: Producers are searching for a “name” actress to play the late wife of Robert Carlyle’s Nic Rush. The character will appear via flashback. SGU debuts this fall. Watch a clip here. Or don’t. No sweat off my back.

How is the casting info for Supernatural related to Keri Russell? Is it just Rob Benedict as Chuck makes you think of Keri?
Ralph, two things: Casting breakdowns do not belong to DarkUFO. They actually are the property of Breakdown Services and other casting agencies. So if anyone stole anything, it’s Dark. And secondly – Ausiello is a professional and has better things to do than read fan sites. In other words, he has his own sources.
So, the Ken Tucker thing is totally on purpose right? He’s always ragging in Psych. Hilarious.

Seriously, the show was mischievous enough to give a domestic, SLA-style terrorist organization the same initials as the Screen Actors Guild last season, so I gotta figure that the doctor is, in fact, named after the Real Ken Tucker. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have named him Dr. Michael Ausiello. Perhaps legal decided that Tucker is generic enough and Ausiello isn’t?

So, you’re “Supernatural” scoop is an old SN casting call? And you only mention the guy getting possessed (presumably only for a short time since we know who the actor is that’s playing Lucifer – you told us that) and not the ex-drug addict who Sam might strike things up with? AND, you don’t even “scoop” the biggest piece of SN casting news yet – that Ellen (Samantha Ferris) is returning for season five? Wow. Ausiello, can you actually DIG for some casting scoop, please?

Wickeddoll, I was referring to the casting news that Mark Pellegrino will be playing Lucifer on “Supernatural” this season in a heavily recurring capacity. Considering the casting call that was released describes the demon that possess him EXACTLY how they described Lucifer, it’s clear that this Raphael guy isn’t going to stick around for long since Mark Pellegrino’s playing Lucifer. UNLESS, of course, the Raphael casting call is old and “Raphael” is Mark Pellegrino’s body before it get taken over by Lucifer. I don’t know.
Heather I’m afraid you don’t know what you’re talking about. Raphael will be an archangel. Mark is playing Lucifer two totally different characters. And hopefully Lindsey is just a one off and SPN has realized that love interest don’t work on SPN.
Well, Meg, one might read the casting call that says “RAPHAEL] Mid 30s-40 – Originally a mechanic, this guy gets taken over by a quiet, powerful, and surprisingly very emotional and venerable force; one of the most powerful beings in the universe, capable of harm. Please submit all ethnicities…RECURRING / GUEST STAR” and think that that sounds an awful lot like the quite, sympathetic, all-powerful Lucifer that the show is using this season. My mistake. I’ve yet to see the spoiler that Raphael is an archangel – and, apparently, Ausiello did, too. As for Lindsey, I like the concept for the character and, if they cast her well, I hope she recurs (since the casting call for her says “POSSIBLE RECURRING / GUEST STAR,” it’s very possible that she’ll recur.). But, Meg, you seem to know where to get good spoilers and, since, asking Ausiello will just get me a “I’ll look into it” and a quip about Keri Russell, I’ll ask you: how long is Ellen sticking around for this season?
Well, Heather’s (and she’s not the only person to notice it) point still stands: Ausiello is posting “scoop” that anyone can get from sides/casting calls. This “Supernatural” “scoop,” along with the “FNL” and “Big Love” stuff he posted recently. Not to mention his big reveal regarding Vanessa from “Gossip Girl” and “Brothers & Sisters.” All of it was made public knowledge days before he posted it. He doesn’t really offer anything new anymore.

Not everyone keeps up with casting calls/sides. I don’t even know where to go, and I’d hate to look them up for each show I watch. That’s one reason it’s nice to have Ausiello around. What else is he suppose to report?
FWIW, Raphael is a known Archangel, like Michael and Gabriel. In fact, according to wiki “Raphael bound Azazel under a desert.” Hey, Azazel! Then again, is Raphael the name of the mechanic, or the being possessing him?
What would REALLY be awesome is if Raphael turns out to be a turtle who knows martial arts.
While there is no proof that Raphael’s gonna turn out to be connected to the angels, it seems very likely, judging by name alone.
God, I just wish they’d stop it with the angel plots already. I fell in love with the show for the family dynamics, the music, the ghosts, and all that. And now they’re turning it into “that show about angels with those two hunter guys on the side”

I think it’s pretty obvious that it’s going to be Raphael possessing a mechanic. Because first of all, how many people are named Raphael? At least in America? And second, it’s the name of an archangel which I thought everyone knew. And with the coming Apocalypse, it makes sense that Raphael would come. I hope they clarify/explain the internal struggles of heaven. I’m still curious about the line “God has left the building.”
What has Keri Russell to do with Supernatural? Is she your favorite actress, did she play an angel or is it just completely random akwardnes?
