Although ABC would only confirm that Bowen is set to appear in the Sept. 27 season premiere, a Housewives insider tells me that the actress is returning as a series regular.
Bowen vanished from Housewives at the end of season 4, a casualty of the show’s four-year flash forward. She briefly returned last season when Julie, on break from college, announced that she was dating her 40-year-old professor Lloyd (Steven Weber). It’s not clear if he’ll be accompanying her back home, but I’m guessing not.

I hope she took some acting lessons on her year off. Then she might be a good addition story wise…

I hope they can use Julie as much as they did when she was friends with Zach and Dylan and took part in story lines ….otherwise it seemed like a waste of Andreas Bowens time. They should bring Zach back….after all he hasn’t met his brother MJ yet.

Julie brings balance to Susan’s neurosis. Thought it was a shame they didn’t use her last year. Love the actress.

this show is in need of desperate help, yeah whatever did happen to zack and danielle?? Tom’s daughter..it just seemed so unnecessary to make Lynette pregant yet again.

I agree with the comment about Andrea hopefully being a better actress now. Did anyone notice how she shook her head no matter what her line/scene was? I like the character, and I’m sure Andrea is a sweetheart…just hoping for some acting improvements.

It’s about time! It’s felt so odd with her missing. They’ve been acting like she didn’t exist and that the little boy was “Susan’” only child. I’m sure she’s grown as an actress and will bring some new twists and turns to the show.
