Lahti is an exceptional actress, but it seems like she would be wasted on this series where she might be lucky to get 15 minutes of airtime.
Christine Lahti is a fabulous actress. And I’ll enjoy watching her on SVU as much as I did watching Kelly Bishop. But as far as I’m concerned, you could stick Elmo in that role, as long as it leads to Stephanie March coming back!!!

Novak was fired to cut the show cost, but now you bring on Lahti who Im sure charges more. WTF ?
now THAT is some good casting. I can only imagine what kind of complex, layered character she will create. She and Meloni and Hargitay all on one show sounds like perfection to me.

And did they explain how Stephanie’s character left the Witsec program?
And better yet, when will they book her husband Bobby Flay to play a role?

Alexandra Kabbot is my favorite ADA. But Casey Novak was a close second. The third one though, didn’t care for her character at all. So I’m interested to see if I like these first four episodes.
Alex had to get out of witsec to testify against the guy who shot her. Then she was on Conviction as the Bureau Chief.
It also had Mark McGrath and some athlete I should have recognized.
Bobby Flay WAS on one episode, where this girl was giving famous guys roofies and cattle prodding them for their sperm. He played a famous chef.

The episode that brough back Stephanie March as Alex Cabot was season 10 “Lead”. Michaela McManus’s character, Kim Greyleck, was written out as having been recalled to Washington by the Department of Justice. They didn’t really explain how Cabot left the program on SVU.
Not really a waste of Lahti. Actors who do a lot of theater love these gigs because they pay very well and give them the freedom to do off-off-Broadway shows that tend not to pay very much.

It will be interesting to see what Christine Lahti does in her short-term role. She’s always good in whatever she’s doing. But I’m happy to have Alex back full time! She was the best ADA hands down. I liked Casey as well, but Alex will always be my fave.

I am excited that Christine Lahti is joining the cast of Law and Order, SVU. I think she is a wonderful actress, of both drama and comedy. She has the ability to carry an entire show. I loved her on Chicago Hope as Dr Kate Austin, and as Grace on Jack and Bobby. She certainly deserves a starring role in whatever she does. I will be watching the first 4 episodes.
Well, that’s fine, as long as S March comes back for the rest of the season!! ps… I am soooo happy that Mariska & Chris are signed on for anther 2 years. Could not imagine the show without them~

Yay! So excited to see Christine Lahti on T.V. again, even if it’s just for a short run. She is a wonderful actress. Never watched this show before, but I will now.
I am THRILLED that Stephanie March is returning full time to SVU!!! However, I will miss Diane Neal. I really liked her portrayal of Casey Novak. I am worried about the night change of SVU, though. That’s never a good sign. Maybe Stephanie’s return will help bolster ratings.

I have been a loyal fan of SVU since it started. I will not watch any episodes with her in it.

Ugh!! Hated her tonight! Her character was as bad as Michela McManus’, harsh, abrasive and way too eager to prove something. Just glad that she will only be in 4 episodes and Stephanie March will be back for the rest. Yeah, the night change sucked, I wonder how it fared against Criminal Minds? NBC really screwed the pooch with the stupid Leno show in prime time.
