90210 has tapped Abercrombie & Fitch model-turned-soap star Trevor Donovan to fill the show’s “golden boy” vacancy, sources confirm to me exclusively.
The genetically blessed Donovan, who channeled Days of Our Lives bad boy Jeremy Horton for four months in 2007, will play Teddy, West Beverly’s own version of JFK Jr. Gorgeous, smart, athletic, charming, and naturally confident, Teddy has the unique ability to make any girl feel like she’s the most beautiful person in the room. And any guy like he’s a cross between Shrek and Jiminy Glick.
Donovan, whose 90210 gig is described as heavily recurring, will debut early on in the show’s upcoming second season.

I agree this guy looks way too old and his stint on days was not very memorable. I mean they couldn’t find anyone better than him to play Teddy. I think Landon Liberion would of been a better choice plus he’s gorgeous and looks the part, oh well I guess I’ll see Lance on degassi next year.

His stinit on Days was not that memorable at all, they could of found someone much better than him, I think Lance Liberion would of been a better choice too bad he’s in Canada and on Degrassi next season. just did some research. He’s 6 years OLDER than Ryan Eggold, who plays Mr. Matthews. Michael Steger (Navid) is 29. Next oldest is Jessica Stroup (Silver) at 22. Annie/Dixon are youngest at 19.
I can buy the 20-22 yr. olds playing 18 on Gossip Girl. But this guy was born in 1978! That is nuts. Unlike Michael Steger (28 years old), this guy can’t pass for anything under 30. And he isn’t even very attractive.

Perfect casting – he’s was the ultimate frat boy on Days. And it makes sense that he’s older; he’s got to look older than Annalynne McCord, and she looks at least 35.
I don’t care that he’s over 30… although him being older than Ryan Eggold is pretty ridiculous. What I’ve never understood is why they let go Dustin Milligan. It just seems so unclassy. Like honestly, write him stuff to do. Did something happen behind the scenes? I really liked his relationship with AnnaLynne McCord’s Naomi.
Unless he’s playing a “mature” student in University or a teacher, then I say it’s a bit of a stretch. However since naomi9 looks like she’s in her late 20’s I guess realism is out the window.

Yep, this sounds like the old 90210 I knew and loved. Actors who are 10-15 years older than their actual characters. Andrea was 29, Steve was 28, and Dylan was 27. Andrea was actually 5 years younger than James Eckhouse who played Jim Walsh. IMO, Andrea looked the best season 5m her last season. When her hair was longer and she put blond highlights in. She really did look pretty, but I digress.
