George may have been on the back burner but he still was a great part of the show. Killing him off was stupid they could have just sent him to the war. If any body should have been killed off it should have been someone who wasnt in season 1-6

I think that is a load. I am sad that George is gone. I really liked him. I did wonder why he wasn’t around so much.I’m going to miss you George O’malley. He is a great actor and will do great things. Good luck.

What a ridiculous cop-out. She wrote him in lightly in for half a season, so that it wouldn’t seem odd that he was missing in the last episode?? Why would the actor put up with that? Would she have done that to anyone else on the show? I was not a big George fan but that is poor behaviour on the producer’s part. She set up the situation and needs to own that….

I wonder if enough of us start a write-in campaign to keep George on the show, T.R. Knight and writers might consider keeping him on? I realize it was the actor’s choice, but there were obviously clashes and disagreements happening. Hopefully if fans express how much we LOVE George, some new arrangements could be made. Let’s save him and save the show! It really won’t be the same otherwise.

There is no way she will replace George with a new actor this is an emmy winning show not a daily running daytime soap. I am terribly sad by his departure but it was ultimately his choice he asked to leave he was not forced. None the less the show will suffer in his absence, however I am curious to see how the show progresses as George was loved by all Bailey, the Chief, the interns, and other residents so it leaves room for alot of grieving. Katherine Heigl is staying from what I here so I guess she was thought to be the bigger star, too bad, T.R. will be dearly missed.
