Psych: James Brolin (a.k.a. Mr. Barbra Streisand) has signed on to appear in a season 4 episode entitled, “High Noon-ish.” He’ll play Hank, a sheriff in Old Sanora, a city which has recently found itself the victim of vandalism. Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) spent a lot of time there growing up and sees Hank as something of a father figure. Psych’s fourth season kicks off Aug. 7.

Crash: Eric Roberts is joining the Starz drama as a series regular. He’s set to play Seth, a billionaire entrepreneur who plans to give L.A. the one thing keeping it from becoming a real city: a professional football team. Crash’s second season premieres Sept. 18.
Melrose Place: The CW’s upcoming reboot is currently casting the role of Caleb, an extremely masculine gay publicist who works with Katie Cassidy’s Ella. Sources confirm to me exclusively that producers are checking my availability.
Kings: NBC will burn off the seven remaining episodes of its under-appreciated (and now canceled) drama beginning this Saturday and continuing through to its series finale on July 25. I’m told all of the show’s major storylines will be wrapped up by the end. (Additional reporting by David Yi)

Does that mean that Ellie will not be returning to Chuck this season? It’ll be a real shame if that’s the case! She is fantastic!

Why is Psych starting so late this season?
It’s a guest gig as a patient’s girlfriend, so my guess is that she’ll only be on HawthoRNe for an episode, maybe two. Plus, Ausiello says Ms. Lancaster is “moonlighting,” which means the HawthoRNe gig isn’t her day job. Long story short: Don’t worry; Ellie’s not going anywhere.
I don’t watch Hawthorne, but I’ll watch for Sarah. She and Captain Awesome are my two favorite parts of Chuck.
No Psych until August??? Sad.
I’ll have to ask the writers about that on twitter… I hope the DVDs still come out in mid-July as usual.
Michael-the only thing that might make me want to watch a revived “Melrose Place” would be if they DID cast you on it.

Well, I hope NBC does go through with airing ALL the episodes of Kings.
It was an excellent drama that just didn’t click for a number of reasons, not the least of which being on NBC.
Definitely good news to hear that the major storylines will indeed get closure.
“Chuck” writers, please, give Sarah Lancaster something more meatier to work, not just sitting around watching tv, making dinners, or a nag machine (case in point: dump Sarah Walker)…..Actually, more Ellie + Sarah screentime would be nice.

I like Sarah Lancaster, she’s talented and beautiful. I would have been interested to see what happened with her character on What About Brian, but ABC never lets fans enjoy a show after they get hooked. Too bad.

I am a fan of both Chuck and My Boys. I can’t wait to see Sarah and Reid in different roles. Chuck fans should worry since the guy who is playing her boy friend is on another show too. I doubt they both plan on leaving their day jobs.

Melrose Place sounds like cheesy fun more and more. All we need is Kimberly’s daughter (or son) and the kitchen sink, and then we’re set. ^_^
Psych is probably starting late to clear the way for the series finale of Monk which starts soon. Ellie isn’t going anywhere but I am glad that Sarah Lancaster was the 1st to find work while we were trying to save her day job. Loved her on Everwood (hated her character but LOVED her).
