An ABC spokesperson declined to comment, but a network insider cautions against reading too much into the spot. “There’s obviously a lot of ABC talent in the promo,” the source points out. “It doesn’t necessarily mean that Dominic is returning to Lost.”
Monaghan’s rep, meanwhile, had this response when asked if his client was being resurrected on Lost. “You never know. Stay tuned.”

If true, this definitely means they succeeded in altering the timeline. Maybe Boone and Shannon will return too? Eko? Let’s keep Ana-Lucia dead though.

A few weeks ago I would have just assumed he was gonna come back as a ghost or psycho-vision of Hurley’s…but with the news breaking this week that Claire was returning NOT as a guest star bu instead as a series regular, it may turn out that he’s back for the whole season. Which would lead me to believe that Juliet reset the Island timeline after all…

It would make sense for all of the original cast to be back (Charlie, Walt, Michael, Shannon, Boone, etc) if Jughead somehow did a “re-boot” on flight 815. Hooray!

i really doubt they’re going to erase 5 years of the show… sorry guys. at best i see them having 815 land at LAX in a fake-out opening scene with some of the old cast and then have it be a jack dream where he wakes up in the jungle like he did in the pilot/316. as for claire, darlton said long ago that they wanted us to know ‘what happened to her’ when she disappeared in something nice back home…. if they reset the past/future/whatever, then that never happens, and neither does the rest of the show.
I wonder how they would compensate for how much older Malcolm David Kelley looks now if they bring him back on a regular basis.
Last fall, they also used Jin in a campaign before we “officially” knew he was still alive. Methinks he must be coming back.

I hope Dominic Monaghan comes back to Lost! Charlie and Claire deserve a second chance, they were barely a couple on the show before he got killed and she disappeared.
Wait wait wait…. is this for ABCs FALL season? Lost doesn’t start in the fall. Maybe Dominic is going to be on something else.

@Jonathan – it is conceivable that IF Darlton really did know how they were going to end the show when they started, they could have filmed the series finale back when they srated season 1, and have it in the can?! Everone, including Walt would look like they didn’t age.
