Sources confirm to me exclusively that Brian Austin Green is in advanced talks to join the cast next season as a series regular. “They’re ironing out a few issues,” notes a Tree Hill insider, “but it’s pretty much a done deal.”

The 90120 Sarah Connor Chronicles star would play Nathan’s Jerry Maguire-esque sports agent, Clayton.
As you know, Green had a starring role in The CW pilot Body Politic. When that show failed to snag a spot on the fall schedule, network brass approached him with the Tree Hill gig.
Clayton is one of three new characters OTH will be introducing in its seventh season. Still to be cast are the roles of Haley’s older sister and a model-actress Brooke hires to be the new face of her clothing line.

I loved him on TSCC and think he definitely has that Tree Hill look. Having him on the show might just make it a bit easier to watch considering the storytelling has gone downhill this season. Cool news!

i’ve never wathced OTH before but BAG is enough to get me to watch.
That’s a really good idea, getting a big name like his from teen dramas to attract viewership. While I loved CMM and Hilarie Burton, I don’t think the show is necessarily over without them, and to me this shows they’re going in the right direction. Yay OTH!
That grimes girl is a toolbox annie is the only character that I can not stand on that show! BAG will be a good addition to any show the CW decides to put him in!

This has very little to do with “The Body Politic,” and everything to do with how ridiculous the CW is as a network. Cancel all the shows featuring minorities, put even more shows on the air about whiny/rich/bitchy/white teenagers even though the ratings don’t reflect the hype said shows get, ignore and mistreat the shows that actually DO get ratings and kudos (Supernatural and Smallville), and then they fail to pick up “The Body Politic,” which every insider said was by far the best pilot the CW had this year.
Fact is, the CW possibly made a big mistake in not picking up “The Body Politic.” The subject matter is relevant in this age of young adults of the Obama era being interested in politics, the cast is pretty damn good for ANY network, and it probably would’ve gotten the network some critical acclaim. Once Supernatural and Smallville are gone, I wonder what will happen to the CW network, especially since the majority of insiders don’t see the CW lasting another year.
Shanae Grimes is the worst actress ever to be on television. She makes Annie the lamest, most insipid character ever to be on any show.

I love OTH but season six had the most amazing ending and with Peyton and Lucas the show is completely pointless. I really really wish they’d just end it with the season finale because it was perfect.
I LOVE oth… but I would have been happier if it had ended this season with all of the happy endings. There’s always going to be a hole where Lucas and Peyton should be.

I think the whole consept of OTH revolved around Lucas and his relationships with others. This is rediculiois. I have always routed for Lucas & Peyton & finally they make it and are no more… bahhhh…

Never cared for CMM and am sorta happy to see him go. Will miss Peyton/Hilary though.
Have been love-love-loving Julian and hope they keep him around.
BAG is neither here nor there for me, but I love the show and will certainly be watching next season. I trust Schwahn.
