If this week’s Ask Ausiello were to be repackaged as a DVD, the following scooplets would constitute the bonus material…
24: Is Kim Bauer following her dad to New York next season? You tell me: The show is looking for a 6-year-old actress to play Kim’s now-4-year-old kid for an arc. Shooting gets underway later this month, assuming Kiefer Sutherland’s recent headbutt heard ’round the world doesn’t screw everything up.
Heroes: Tim Kring and Co. are on the prowl for a twentysomething actress to play a love interest for one of the main Heroes in season 4. The character will be introduced in the fourth episode and, here’s where things get interesting, interested candidates must be hearing impaired. My peeps on Twitter are already campaigning for Jericho’s Shoshannah Stern to get the part.
Monk: The series may be coming to an end but the webisodes are only beginning! An insider confirms that USA is developing a 10-episode web series about Monk’s childhood.
How I Met Your Mother: Neil Patrick Harris is pretty much confirming what I reported in Ask Ausiello today: Stella ain’t the mother, despite how things may have looked at the end of Monday’s episode. "There have already been episodes where older Ted is saying that she’s not, so we’d have to go against our word to make that the case," he says. "But I think she’ll have something to do with the realization of who the mother is." (Additional reporting by Emmet Sullivan)

Is this going to be a love interest for Matt? Wondering, because a person who couldn’t hear could really use a guy who could talk to her without words.
Okay, I know you just gave us info on SVU but it feels like that was weeks ago. We are going crazy here waiting on word of contract negotiations. The show just can’t go on without MH and CM. And Ice has said they haven’t even started talking to him about next year. GAH!
I am right there with you for any opportunity to bring Shoshannah back to the small screen – extremely talented young lady with presence and poise. She would make a great addition to any series.
who cares who the mother is. it’s such a dumb thing to constantly focus on.
I vote YES for Shoshannah for the Deaf part. She has so much talent and can play different “types of deafness” on the screen.
WHERE THE HECK is Doc Jensen’s LOST Episode 15 recap???? I need another migraine. So, come on Doc Jensen, bring it on!!!
YES!!! More Kim the better on 24

She could be a love interest for Matt, but that would involve him leaving his wife AGAIN. No thank you. I vote for Peter – the character was at his best when courting Charles Devereux’s daughter.
What about “Lost & Found”, any word on that ??
Please Michael, help us spread the word : http://www.lostandfound-online.com !
We need NBC to know about our campaign. There are already fans out there just waiting for Katee Sackhoff’s new show !!
If you’re being sarcastic – LOL.
If not, you do realize it’s not a dumb thing to constantly focus on, since it’s THE TITLE OF THE SHOW!
SHOSHANNAH STERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but the show WILL GO ON without them!!! Maybe if they were not being soooo greedy then it would be done by now. They are just actors that only care about how much they get PAID!!! Like it or not, they are not worth what they are trying to get.
Yuck! They’re bringing Kim back on ‘24?’ She must either be the producer’s daughter or she’s dating someone with influence. Her character is annoying and brings nothing to the show, she can’t act (for proof, notice how well her movie career has been going). Why, oh why must we have to endure her again?
I really love Sarah Chalke on How I Met Your Mother. She fits in nicely with the cast. I hope they find a way to keep her around even if she isn’t the mother, sort of like a Canadian lass we all know and love called Robin.
that’s because Sarah Chalke IS an actual Canadian
Cobie, who plays Robin, is Canadian as well. She’s from BC.
It’d be cool if the Heroes character is also special, and has enhanced “super-senses” to offset her hearing impairment. Also, based on the age they’re looking for, I’d bet it’s for Peter. (Matt’s obviously going to hook back up with Janice.)
I have a theory: Ted is not even the father. Which is why the kids have not even called Ted “Dad”. In fact Ted is probably an “uncle” as well.
I don’t care about Kim! I just want to know IS TONY COMING BACK TO SEASON 8?
He is the only reason i watch 24!!!
It sucks without him!!!
No information about Tony being back on next season’s 24!!!! He is the only reason I watch too!!!!
A deaf actress for Heroes? Try Andrea Ferrell
I loved Sarah Chalke on HIMYM, even if she’s not the mother, it would be nice to see her back on that show.
Mike, no idea if you ever read these, but just in case I wanted to tell you that I’m kind of choked you haven’t posted anything about the Scrubs finale last night. It was one of the most perfect series finales (I’m hoping Bill L and ABC does the right thing and pulls the plug) I’ve ever seen, and you’ve loved Scrubs so much over the years. I was looking forward to your take.
to aaron, that would be great. at the end Ted and Robin are married and the kids are just someone else’s, whom RTed just met.
Never mind who the Mother is, What about Robin, she hid her belly during the entire episode. She must be pregnant for real.
Echoing SarahP, I’m disappointed in you Ausiello for not posting anything about that pitch-perfect Scrubs finale last night. You were such a huge supporter (and guest star!) of the show for so many years, I expected a full column discussing it. I hope that’s still to come.
Love Heroes. And love Ali Larter. She is so hot: http://www.actressscene.com/search/label/Ali%20Larter
the ‘Heroes’ writers need to stop with the stunt-whatever and work on the scripts with the cast they have NOW. c’mon ~ that whole Sylar-becoming-Nathan-but-doesn’t-know-it finale was a joke. don’t care if the producers/writers THINK their viewers stupid but don’t TALK to us as if we are. still trying to get over the whole break-into-a-gazillion-pieces Nikki (or whatever name they’re giving her now) coming back as Liquid Woman. that’s just silly. understand NBC only ordered 18 episodes (instead of the regular 24-25) for next season. THAT alone should tell the writers something. they have a good cast now in place. now give them some decent storylines and quit making things so unwatchable.
Hearing impaired?? how about that Matt Parkman? mmmmm

To Aaron:
ummm…. apparently you have never watched this show….here is just one instance:
“Dad, can’t you just skip ahead to the part where you meet Mom? I feel like you’ve been talking for, like, a year.” – the daughter, “Where Were We?” (Season 2 Premiere).
I don’t see how people could think Stella is the mother. Wouldn’t the kids know they have a stepsister? I’m actually one who hopes he meets the mother at the very end of the very last episode of the series. Anything more would be too much. Like finally meeting Maris or Carleton the Doorman.
