House MVP Lisa Edelstein just finished a conference call with reporters to hype this season’s final two episodes. Of course, what she ended up spending most of her time talking about was next week’s long-awaited "Huddy" hookup. Here are some highlights…
• "We probably did five takes. We didn’t do it for that long. It was more of a question that the cameras wanted to capture a lot of different things."
• "You’re not going to see me get naked or anything, but it’s a pretty hot scene."
• "I have a great friendship with Hugh and he’s super-sexy so who could complain about kissing him?"
• “I don’t think it’s a passing thing. It’s been going on for a long time, whether or not they’ve acted out on it. I don’t necessarily think it’ll ever be a satisfying relationship in terms of both of them kind of settling in and saying, ‘This is what we’re doing.’ She has a complicated relationship with men, it seems. She likes the screwed-up ones."
• On whether the encounter will turn out to be some sort of alternate reality/hallucinatory fake-out, she says, "There’s a chance for anything, isn’t there?"

I am thrilled that the long-anticipated hook-up between House and Cuddy is finally coming to pass. Lisa Edelstein absolutely lights up whatever scene she is in with her combination of intelligence and expert comic chops. The fact that she is gorgeous is icing on the cake. The unsettling, damaged, mysterious, and alluring dynamic between House and Cuddy has been a superb way for the show to further explore House’s multi-layered character. I am glad to hear that this current fling will not be only a passing thing. We need more of Lisa E and Hugh Laurie on our screens.

So much for David Shore saying this wasn’t going to become a soap opera. Who cares how many takes it took to do the sex scene? The best love scene on TV in years was Yang/Hunt on GA but they didn’t feel the need to promote it all over the news media beforehand about how sexy it was.
How low this show has fallen. How low Hollywood journalist have fallen if this is what passes for news.

no…sorry, his relationship with his ex-wife far exceeds anything that he can have with “Huddy”. Not only is she more interesting, but she’s more attractive, and intelligent enough to match wits with House…at least in the writers’ hands…now that’s a real woman. And there was good chemistry there. I vote for a nice long series with the two of them together.
It’s funny…I don’t remember going this batshit crazy when Cameron had her crush on House. Actually, I’m pretty sure I faithfully viewed and didn’t say a word. Weird. Maybe I’m more mature than the other complainers? I guess. If you’re that angry about it and think the show is crap for it then I’m sure the ratings wont be bothered by a minus 1.

Did any of the haters ever stop to think that LE mostly talked about the Huddy sex because that’s probably what she was most asked about? That aside, House is just getting better and better. They’re sticking to the formula as well as exploring the characters deeper and deeper. I like it.
