There’s new evidence to suggest that The CW may be close to doing the right thing (read: season 2 renewal!) where Privileged is concerned.
A source close to the show confirms that the network has decided to run repeats of the cult fave on Fridays at 8 pm/ET throughout the summer. Why would The CW waste an hour of its schedule on a show that had no future? It’s simple: They most likely probably wouldn’t.
“It’s definitely a positive sign,” acknowledges a Privileged insider, who
quickly adds that there’s still no official word about a pickup.
Indeed, a CW rep insists no decision has been made about the show’s future.
Still, with this new development coming so closely on the heels of a report that the show may be back as a midseason replacement, momentum has clearly shifted in Privileged’s favor.
The promising word of mouth has even trickled down to co-star Sharon Lawrence, who plays
mom to Joanna Garcia’s Megan. “I heard it may have a life,” she told me
earlier today, “which is great!”

Can you show this same type of love to the Game and Everybody Loves Chris. There aren’t too many shows of color anymore and these are two of the best. I would hate to be limited to watching Tyler Perry crap if they got canceled.
You know, I was pretty torn mid season this past year because I absolutely adored Privileged but also really liked Reaper. But after watching the first few episodes of Reaper, I just really miss Privileged and hope it gets renewed!

And Dawn Ostroff plays favorites again. Reaper is consistent yet gets no Season 3. But heaven forbid another one of DO’s “pets” gets canned.
Privileged is the best. Much better than Reaper and there really aren’t any other shows out there like this now. Please bring it back!
I seriously gasped with joy when I read the headline. I love this show so much. It’s very cleverly written and superbly acted. I hope Joanna gets nominated for a Golden Globe Award someday as Megan. But one can dream right?

this is great news! It’s so much more clever than the crap that is 90210, even though I watch it as well. Now all that has to happen is NBC renew CHUCK, and FOX, Sarah Conner Chronicles and I’m good.

Yay! Privileged is an amazing show, I’d be heartbroken if it was cancelled. The writing and acting is so good. I bet the second season would be amazing if the writers got the chance.
I have to say its a shame that 90210 is definatly staying when both repaer and privileged face the axe bboth are original shows with a good strong cast and witty writing, i dont know where or when 90210 went wrong but it just all of a sudden became crap! i really hope privileged is picked up!
