ABC is scheduling some serious appointment television on Saturday nights this summer.
An Alphabet insider confirms that the final episodes of Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money will be burned off on consecutive Saturdays at 10 pm/ET beginning May 30 and ending Aug. 8.
Here’s the specific breakdown per show:
* Daisies‘ final three episodes will air May 30 to June 13
* Eli Stone’s final four episodes will air June 20 to July 11
* Dirty Sexy Money’s final four episodes will air July 18 to Aug 8.
Better late than never, right?

though this was reported by your frenemy what seems like forever ago, thanks for the info. i’m so glad that PD is finally getting aired, though i’m sure with zero promotion. and saturday night? that’s cold. still, can’t complain i suppose….
Hallelujah! At least we will get to see some closure for these much-beloved shows that were cancelled too soon. Not that I wouldn’t be buying Daisies on DVD anyway, but it’s the principle of the thing.
Thank god ! I was beginning to think they would never air them
… but they’re not ‘wrap up’ episodes, are they? They’re just burning what was already shot when they got cancelled. Still, it will be great to see them (well, Daisies anyway, not a fan of the other shows)
Yay! I was keeping PD and ES on my DVR timers praying this would happen!!!
This was reported by The Futon Critic last weekend and your frenemy this week.
Your late Ausiello.
I’m so glad we’ll finally be able to see what happened on Eli Stone!
WooHoo! Yippee! Hooray!
I was afraid ABC would just forget that they “promised” to air them at some point. Although I can’t give up my grudge completely for pulling the plug on some unique and quality television in favor, this goes a long way toward redemption.
I don’t go anywhere on Sat. night anymore, so it work for me.
Waaaa Hoooo!! I am so excited! I can’t wait to see the stories wrap up a bit.
Why do people keep complaining about Ausiello being the last to report things? He’s not claiming to have heard these things first… He still has a constituency to look after, and he HAS to assume they don’t get their news anywhere else. If he didn’t report this, he’d be a fool. And possibly, maybe Ausiello isn’t about stealing scoop from his frenemies… Maybe he respects their exclusives, and gives them a grace period before he reports it… It’s only fair, I think…
As for the news, I’m happy. I knew I’d get to see Pushing Daisies final eps on DVD, but I had assumed the worst for Dirty Sexy Money. Does anyone know if they wrap up the dead father mystery? That’d be nice to know…
Yes! I love, love, love Pushing Daisies. It sucks they cancelled the show, but at least we get to see the remaining episodes.
yes!! i can not wait to see what happens on pushing daisies and dirty sexy money! just talking about these two effing amazing shows makes me sad all over again. damn abc!
Glad they finally did the honorable thing in deciding to air the remaining episodes–loved DSM and Eli. All of these cancellations have me afraid to give new shows a try…Harper’s Island looks like a good murder mystery on CBS, but I’m afraid if it doesn’t do well they will cancel it like everything else. I got burned by that Reunion show a few years ago and I’m still mad they never aired those eps or revealed who killed the classmate…
Its about time! This is great news. Hooray.
Yes! Besides Lost, these were the only other ABC shows I watched. Still sad they got cancelled, but I’m glad we get to see the remaining episodes.
Now THAT’s good news! (As opposed to the overpriced-DVDs-in-July story of last week.)
Yay!! So just under two more months to wait. I can deal with that. Whoo for seeing Pushing daises!
Joe: The writers did end up revealing the killer on the show Reunion from a couple years ago — it was the daughter. (It was either Amy’s daughter or the daughter was named Amy, I can’t remember now) I loved that show too — wish they would’ve finished it out!
Yay! I am so happy that I can watch the remaining eps of Pushing Daisies for free instead of buying the DVDs.
I give ABC some respect for doing this.
I HAD NO CLUE THAT DSM AND ES WAS CUT,,I WAS JUST WAITING FOR THE RETURN,,I’M HAPPY FOR THE FINAL SHOWS//THERE IS JUST TO MUCH STORY LINE ON BOTH SHOWS TO LET THEM GO!!!!
Thank you ABC ! I’ll set up the DVR !!
Oh YAY! I was so mad they weren’t going to at least let us know how they end.
I’d have more respect for ABC if they didn’t cancel these shows.
Well that is better as it was bad of them to let those series just hang. Hopefully the programs had enough time to actually write an ending instead of just what would have been the season cliffhanger. Life on Mars was able. But as a result of the network doing this to so many shows I liked, I refuse to spend my time on anything new. Will not watch Cupid or Unusuals!!!!! Or anything else they push now.
I’m glad we won’t have to wait for the DVD to see the final three episodes of “Pushing Daisies.”
yay! i miss the pie man and that candy-coloured world of Pushing Daisies! yay!
At least we get to see them… Thank God for DVR.
Do we know yet if there will be a DSM season 2 DVD?
this is great news! I am still mad at ABC for canceling these shows though.
