This is not, I repeat not, an April Fools prank.
Warner Home video just confirmed that the complete second season of Pushing Daisies — including the three final, unaired episodes — will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 21.
The 13-episode set will retail for $675 (DVD) and $975 (Blu-ray). Now that was an April Fools prank. They’ll sell for $39.98 and $49.99 respectively.
Relieved much?!

I believe if this WAS an April Fools Day, it would be worth me tracking you down and SMACKING you in the head. Is it July 21st yet!?
Great! Now a full-blown feature film, and I will be completely satisfied! I’m still bitter about the cancellation.
I thought ABC was under contract to air those last three episodes. If I have to wait until July to see how the story ends *sniffle* then I will wait until July, I just won’t be happy about it.
What a scoop! Oh wait, blu-ray.com reported that story 4 hours ago. Nevermind.
Will the air on ABC before then?
Cover art and a whole lot more can be found at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com – which I believe beat you to the punch by a few hours.
I would be happier if the story wasn’t going to be continued/resolved in the pages of a comic book but I’ll take the three unshown episodes and be happy about it (OK not really but with BSG gone and “Mars” ending, it seems scripted television is on it’s way out so I guess I’ll be happy with whatever crumbs Hwood doles out… but they shouldn’t count on reeling me with any more series because I’m tired of getting invested into a story and then have the damn show cancelled .. see also “Moonlight”, “Jack and Bobby”, “JourneyMan”, “Studio 60″ and so forth.
40.00 for 13 epis! Wow!
i heard they are airing in uk soon, they will be online soon, you should be able to download at least
YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAAY!!!
Gasps! As long as they release them, I’ll be fine. Otherwise, I need to start learning German soon…
So I have to pay to watch the last episodes? No thanks, what a waste of time.
July 21?! Well that’s cool. They should have aired the episodes on TV though. Ahh! But thanks for the info. I am sure they will be worth wait and it discs will have nice features.
Ouch on the price but thanks for the great news! This is the ONLY entertainment column I check, so I could care less if another site posted it first. It’s news to me! Thanks Mike!
Yay! I guess that means ABC gave up trying to air them. Oh well, their loss.
