Warner Home video just confirmed that the complete second season of Pushing Daisies — including the three final, unaired episodes — will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 21.
The 13-episode set will retail for $675 (DVD) and $975 (Blu-ray). Now that was an April Fools prank. They’ll sell for $39.98 and $49.99 respectively.

Great! Now a full-blown feature film, and I will be completely satisfied! I’m still bitter about the cancellation.
I thought ABC was under contract to air those last three episodes. If I have to wait until July to see how the story ends *sniffle* then I will wait until July, I just won’t be happy about it.
What a scoop! Oh wait, blu-ray.com reported that story 4 hours ago. Nevermind.

I would be happier if the story wasn’t going to be continued/resolved in the pages of a comic book but I’ll take the three unshown episodes and be happy about it (OK not really but with BSG gone and “Mars” ending, it seems scripted television is on it’s way out so I guess I’ll be happy with whatever crumbs Hwood doles out… but they shouldn’t count on reeling me with any more series because I’m tired of getting invested into a story and then have the damn show cancelled .. see also “Moonlight”, “Jack and Bobby”, “JourneyMan”, “Studio 60″ and so forth.

After Arrested Development was cancelled I have little hope for well-written, witty comedy shows on TV anymore.
Yeah!!!! I’ll b sure to get it on July 31st and have an all day Pushing Daisies marathon … Wish they renewed it for another season. Why do you cancel good shows too early, ABC (Men In Trees, anyone?) ?!?

YAY! I feel marathon weekend coming on! I’m cool with it being off the air. It may have been one of those series that’s best served to only last 20-30 episodes, like Twin Peaks.
Good Lord, $40 for a 13 episode season… pass. iTunes will have it for $26 at the most.

I could care less about the three unaired episodes. It’s the result of a bunch of jerks trying to give us “closure.” ClOSURE, PEOPLE?! REALLY?! This is hardly closure. They never gave Pushing Daisies a chance. For one thing, everytime I watched “Lost” or anything else on ABC, I NEVER ONCE saw a Pushing Daisies advertisement, and yet there was Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practive EVERYWHERE. Those biased, conceited jerks! More advertisement and a better night could have saved it. But no, they tried nothing. So I really don’t care about this news. It doesn’t make me feel any better. YOU SUCK, ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
