I sure hope this doesn’t mean what I think it does: Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell has been cast in ABC’s eagerly anticipated V pilot.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking — that this confirms Juliet as the major character who gets bumped off at this season’s end? Yeah, I kinda thought you might be with me on that one.
However, my moles at ABC and Warner Bros. (which is producing V) say we need to chill, because Mitchell is just a guest star on V. But, however much I may want to chill, that’s pretty hard to do, since everyone told me the same thing when tailie Cynthia Watros booked a pilot (and two months later, Libby was pushing up daisies).
So what do you think? Am I making much ado about nothing? Or is Juliet a goner? And in either case, how much cooler a project is V now that Mitchell’s attached? I’m thinking “way.” Your take below…

Especially since this is on the same network, why can’t they keep this quiet so that there will be some surprise if she does leave LOST, because I would have expected her to be on loST until the end fo the series

I hope she isn’t leaving. Juliet is one of my favorite characters and I can’t believe the Mitchell has never been recognized for her terrific work on the show.

Oops… my bad. There it is…. sorry about that last rant… but not the first one.
Come on! I just started really liking her character when she stopped pining for Jack and started playing house with Sawyer (something I didn’t think would work last season)! Mitchell just had her best episode in “LaFleur.” Things with Juliet are in equilibrium, and to imagine that Sawyer may have to settle for Kate who’ll end up leaving him every few days for Jack (who’s much more likable when he’s mopey and alone)… it’s just wrong.

Well, I can’t help but think, is the cast of Lost going to really stop filiming? I mean, next season it is done, and if not for the fact that Hawaii gets really hot in the summer, why not just push through, their cast has shown that they can keep secrets. It could be possible that Juliet might not survive to the end of Lost(I have this theory that the Others are all ghosts, and Juliet might just have died a long time ago) but will be around until like the middle of next season.
I’m gonna pass out.
sam: if you believe Ausiello’s “Death Chart” then there are going to be 2 (at least) deaths — a “major” and a “major-ish” character DarkUFO is only discussing one death. There’s no “guarantee” that there won’t be any others.
I really don’t think Juliet is dying on “Lost”–at least this season. I mean, aren’t they about to film the finale, so that means she’d be free shortly to shoot a new show. And since next year is the last season of “Lost” and I would assume this “V” reboot would be airing in fall or whatever so…that’d make sense…she could start out as a guest star on their, and then when done w/ the final season of “Lost”, join up full time on “V”. I love Juliet though…want to see more closure for her character (and to reunite w/ her sister Rachel).

It is just a pilot and she is a guest star. She lives in Seattle and the filming is in Vancouver. This gives her some extra work during the LOST off-season and sets her up for a re-occurring role in V once LOST ends next season (or when and if they kill her off in season 6.) I don’t think they kill her off this season – and hopefully they will give her a happy ending because she has give LOST a lot of great moments and has definitely elevated the acting on that show – she even makes the actors that work with her better.

wow. they really love killing my favorite characters on this show (Juliet is my all-time fave, but i loved Ana Lucia & Boone before her) & spotlighting the obnoxious ones (could care less about Jack or Kate at this point).
please, oh wonderful producers/writers of Lost, hear me when i beg you to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not kill off Juliet!!!
