Alex O’Loughlin just can’t seem to get away from blood. As has been rumored, the star of CBS’ ill-fated Moonlight is thisclose to signing on to headline the pilot for Three Rivers, a new Eye show about organ transplants.
In Three Rivers, each story is told from the point of view of the doctor, the recipient and the donor. And with Carol Barbee (Jericho) writing the pilot and exec-producing alongside 8 Mile director Curtis Hanson and longtime collaborator Carol Fenelon, odds are pretty good that it won’t suck.
So what do you think, peeps? Are you happy with the project CBS found to keep the erstwhile vampire busy? (He’s already bound to the Eye through a development deal.) Or were you hoping for something with a little more… bite? Sound off below. (Additional reporting by Andy Patrick)

Sounds Great! But CBS doesn’t have the best luck with medical shows…
I’ll watch because he’s in the show. Not sure if I’d watch it otherwise. They should just bring his first show back. ( I know, but I’m can wish.)
Love Alex O’Loughlin! Can’t wait to see him on tv again!
Yes!! I love Alex O! Sounds like an interesting premise for a show, if they stick with quality writing and production. Hope they can make it work.

I am happy with these news because they mean Alex would be back on my TV screen. At this point I’ll be happy with any appearance of Alex, even I keep on thinking he deserves the best, I mean a lead role made for his huge talent.
I’ll be watching him on “The Big Wheel”, a Criminal Minds episode which airs on April 29th
I can’t wait for a confirmation from Alex, or from CBS, about his cast in Three Rivers
Alex, you rock!
I was actually hoping to see Alex in another swoonworthy romantic role. I just hope they keep his sexy locks.
bring back moonlight
CSI: Transplants doesn’t sound like a promising idea to me.

I’m thrilled to have Alex back on tv although I’ll always long for Moonlight. No doubt he’ll be great as usual
OH, HALALUIA, it’s about time!!!! I’m so glad to have him comin’ back to TV!! And with Carol Barbee from Jericho…awesome!!!! I am sad it isn’t Moonlight, but I’ll be glad to see him.
Heck yes I’m happy. Thrilled to death! Fingers crossed for my beloved Alex.
Sounds great to me, is about time we have Alex O’Loughlin back on TV, he will be a huge success!
I am dubious about the premise, but good casting!
Its CBS. If it has fair success, they will cancel it and stick something on that is either a bad reality show or another even worse performing show (i.e. Swingtown, the Ex-List).
