That’s what multiple sources are telling me in response to a rumor that Lost’s top heroine, Evangeline Lilly, may be leaving the show before it reaches its natural conclusion in May 2010.
“We have no idea how this rumor got started,” maintains Lilly’s rep, “and whoever started it didn’t call us or ABC to verify the validity of it, for which there is none.”
Buzz about Lilly’s possibly premature exit stemmed from a report on Zap2it.com that claimed the actress was actively searching for a new TV gig — one that would launch this fall. But as an ABC source points out, she’s under contract with Lost through the sixth and final season, and there’s absolutely nothing to suggest she’ll be sprung before then.
Phew, crisis averted.

Lost needs to end already, if these people stay lost any longer, they’ll have to change the show’s name to “The Bush Administration”

kate is a compelling, terrific character and i for one think lilly has blossomed into a great actress over the past 5 seasons.
Even though both you and your frenemy says it’s not true now it’s out there and i guess now this rumor won’t die until May 19th 2010. I am actually still afraid this might be true

I think it would be good. It would be a surprising twist before the last season, and I wouldn’t have to be bored by her character any more. I think it’s true…it’s not like they are going to give it away.

The show would loose a lot of its tension without her. She isn’t my favorite but she does add something to the show. Hopefully it was all rumor.

I totally agree with you. She’s a great character and integral to the show and she is a great actress.
And i seriously doubt that she’d be auditioning for pilots. She’d try to get a show built around her, or at least she’d try.

If you look closely at what else Lilly has done besides “Lost”, I think she is praying that the show keeps going on for decades to keep her in work. It isn’t like the studios are busting down her door.

I don’t really like the way the writers have dealt with Kate since season 2, but I really don’t think she cares about our opinion. Many people are just venting out about their frustration with the show, and specially the horrible triangle storyline.
