Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' '24,' 'NCIS,' 'CSI,' 'House,' 'Daisies,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Smallville,' 'True Blood,' and More!

Jan 6, 2009, 11:28 PM | by Michael Ausiello

Categories: Ask Ausiello

Ausiellohousecsi_lQuestion: Don't you ever -- ever -- go three weeks without a new Ask Ausiello again. Do you hear me? Jacob
Ausiello:
If it's any consolation, the hiatus hurt you a lot more than it hurt me. Wait, that came out wrong. Actually, no, that's right.

Question: Any news as to whether Tom Welling has signed on for another season of Smallville? -- Scarlett
Ausiello:
Yes, there's news, and it's good. Some would even call it, ahem, super. According to a well-placed Smallville insider, Welling is nearing a deal to return for a ninth season. I'm told they're just ironing out some minor deal points, such as should the Brinks Truck pull into the actor's driveway, or just unload on the street.

Question: Any major character deaths on Lost this season? -- Sophie
Ausiello:
None that I know of, but, after screening the first two eps, it certainly looks like a female cast-member isn't long for this world. The fact that she was recently cast in a big Hollywood movie doesn't bode well either. (Doc Jensen's got more on Lost's Jan. 21 premiere!)

Question: Got anything on Lost's 100th episode? -- Katy
Ausiello:
Paris Hilton's in talks to make a cameo as a Dharma intern circa 1973. I kid, I kid. I'm told the episode, slated to air this May, won't feature any special stunts, although it is part of the run-up to the season finale and, well, that in itself is pretty stunty.

Question: I'll be your friend if you give me some Supernatural scoop. -- Shane
Ausiello:
There is a traitor amongst Sam and Dean. Okay, Shane, your first order of business as my friend is to buy me this.

Question: Anything on CSI: Miami? -- Tim
Ausiello:
Only that the show is casting a new lab rat who just might become a new recurring techie. According to  my sources, said newbie Dave Benton — a twentysomething who's like a cross between Dave Navarro and Mr. Wizard — helps Ryan crack a case.

Question: Please tell me ABC will pick up the Bill Lawrence-Courteney Cox comedy Cougar Town. I don't even know anything about it, but I've already decided it's my new favorite show. -- Tony
Ausiello:
Don't know anything about it? I can help out with that! The single-camera comedy stars Cox as a 40-year-old divorcee who decides to re-enter the dating scene now that her only son has graduated high school. "She's loosely based on my own mom, because my mom had me when she was very young," explains Lawrence, who will serve as show-runner if ABC gives it the green light. "It's a very weird dynamic, because they're essentially contemporaries." And don't be fooled by the title. Although Cox's character does have a fling with a young lad in the pilot, the series won't find her bedding a different Robert Buckley clone every week. "It's a campy title [but] it's not a campy show," he says. "It's set in a small town in Florida and the high school football team is named the Cougars, so we justify it that way."

Question: We haven't had Ugly Betty scoop in forever! What's next? -- Sidra
Ausiello:
Marc's getting a new roommate...But the show isn't adding any new cast-members. Stumped? Head to the comments section and start brainstorming!

Question: Can't wait for Life on Mars to return. Got anything? -- Joel
Ausiello:
Producers are casting the never-before-seen wife of Michael Imperioli's cop, and if they're smart, they'll check Drea de Matteo's availability STAT. Or they can just take my word for it: She's free!

Question: 24 season 7 premiere screeners were recently sent out to the press, and I'm pretty sure the mighty Ausiello got one. Mind giving us a tidbit about this weekend's premiere? -- Yong
Ausiello:
If it's okay by you, I'd rather give you four tidbits, one for each hour of the two-night premiere.

1) Listen closely for the words "deep sky," because one of 24's coolest twists ever occurs shortly after they're uttered.
2) A bombshell secret about Tony Almeida gets revealed around Hour 3: He's got pectoral muscles for days. Janeane Garofalo even gets to touch one of them!
3) Speaking of Garofalo, her chemistry with doppelganger Mary Lynn Rajskub is so off the charts that there's buzz Fox may spin them off into their own show. In related news, if I make a wish in Ask Ausiello, it officially qualifies as buzz. Totally true.
4) I've come to the conclusion after watching the first four eps that James Morrison is Neil Patrick Harris' biological father.

Question: Can you please give me scoop on House? I'm dying to know what is going to happens between Thirteen and Foreman after the hiatus. -- Cindy
Ausiello:
Trouble in paradise. When Foreman discovers that Thirteen was given a placebo in the Huntington's clinical trial, he switches her to the real drug behind her back. The truth eventually comes out on Feb. 2 and all hell breaks lose. In the same episode, Cuddy turns the tables on House and tortures him for a change. If you're a Huddy fan, the episode is like a gift from the TV Gods.

Question: Any new news about the Veronica Mars movie? If not, some Gossip Girl scoop is perfectly acceptable. -- Amy
Ausiello:
Gossip Girl scoop it is! Word around the UES is that Serena will soon share something in common with Anne Hathaway. And garnering Oscar buzz ain't it.

Question: About Lily and Rufus' kid on Gossip Girl: another site said it was a boy and he died. Is that true? -- Hanna
Ausiello:
Only half of it.

Question: I need to know more about Gossip Girl, please! I'll give my entire Smurf collection! -- Ali
Ausiello:
I have a sneaking suspicion that Chuck's mother is alive. Anyone else share my hunch?

Question: Please sir, can I have some Big Love scoop? -- Mary
Ausiello:
The Henrickson's pool will play host to a suicide attempt early into season 3 (debuting Jan. 18). In other Big news, Heather's crush on Sarah turns a new shade of awkward when the BFFs end up going to the prom together in the third episode. BTW, based on the first three eps, Big Love remains, IMHO, the most entertaining hour of TV in all the land. Spread the word.

Question: Anything on NCIS' Tony? Tony! Tony! Tony! -- Katie
Ausiello:
I'm not sure I understand your question. You want scoop on who? Ducky? Well, I don't have anything on him, so you'll have to settle for this Tony tidbit: He's replacing Gibbs as boss! Relax, it's only temporary. In a February episode, Gibbs puts Tony in charge of the team when a case he once worked on gets reactivated.

Question: What is this I hear about the remaining Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money episodes airing in the summer? Please tell me it's not true. -- Cliff
Ausiello:
Actually, at this point, we'll be lucky if they air at all. Episode 11 of Daisies was originally scheduled to air tonight, but, per Bryan Fuller, the network dropped it from the schedule at the last minute. "They are not scheduled to air right now," he sighs, "and that's all we know." Let's have a round of applause for network TV!

Question: Any scoop on Grissom's last episode of CSI? -- Nicole
Ausiello:
Just a tip: Set your DVR to record a few minutes past 10 pm on Jan. 15, just as a precaution. You do not want to miss the final scene. Trust me. Also, you'll want to pick up a copy of the new EW when it goes on sale this Friday. I think you'll fancy the cover subject.

Question: Do you have any news on One Tree Hill? We heard that Mark Schwahn had asked The CW for a decision on season 7 by 1 January so that he could write an appropriate season ending. -- Nathan
Ausiello:
Not Jan. 1, but a decision will be made soon. It's all about contracts now. The cast only signed six-year pacts, so new deals will have to be brokered. Negotiations are happening as we speak.

Question: I am a Media Buyer and, as God as my witness, Friday Night Lights will be renewed again. I am recruiting the buyers in my office to watch and purchase it. Best show on TV. -- Kendra
Ausiello:
Fight the heck on, Kendra. Don't miss tonight's penultimate season 3 ep, which features (skip to the last sentence of this answer, non DirecTV subscribers!) the long-awaited Tyra/Landry reunion, as well as a nail-biter of a state championship game.Programming note: FNL's NBC run kicks off on Friday, Jan. 16.

Question: Any truth to the rumor that Gregory Itzin (President Logan) is returning to 24? He was recently seen in photos with the 24 cast at Kiefer Sutherland's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. -- Matt
Ausiello:
No truth to the rumor -- although the specter of Logan will loom large throughout season 7. But if it's an Itzin fix you're itching for, make tracks to CBS' The Mentalist, where he's playing the recurring role of Virgil Minelli, the Calif Bureau of Investigation boss.

Question: Any new Heroes scoop? -- Caroline
Ausiello:
I'm tempted to tell you who almost beat out Lionel Luthor for the role of Sylar's pop, but I don't think you'd believe me.Actually, I know you wouldn't believe me.

Question: We all know that Lafayette was the best character in Season One of True Blood. How can we make sure Alan Ball brings him back next season? -- Brody
Ausiello:
Well, as Ball himself recently reminded me, "Lafayette did die in the books." But, he adds, "That doesn't mean he won't be back. Anything's possible."

Question: What's the deal with Michelle Forbes' character on True Blood? Is she Tara's Demon? How does Sam know her? -- Marcy
Ausiello:
The mystery surrounding who (or what) Maryann is will play out front and center in season 2 -- and you may not find many clues in the books. "She's definitely a new kind of supernatural creature in Bon Temps," teases Ball. And as new as "it" is, it's also old. "Ancient. Ancient," Ball stresses. In other words, not a Cylon. BTW, production on True Blood's second season begins this week!

Question: The wait for Burn Notice's second half of season 2 is killing me. Can you give us any tidbits? -- Julie
Ausiello:
How's this: "I wear less in the Jan. 22 premiere than I've ever worn in any episode," Jeffrey Donovan teases. "I actually walk into a pool party in a Speedo." You're welcome, Julie!

And with that, the first AA of '09 comes to a close. Send question/anonymous tips/new year's resolutions to ausielloscoop@ew.com. Love ya, need ya, squeeze ya! (Additional reporting by Lindsay Soll and Andy Patrick)

I doubt that will ever happen. It's fricken House! The House and Cuddy arc gets like a few minutes per episode, if any at all. It's just because suddenly the media (ie the internet) has spotlighted them so much more this season, that it may look like it's taking over the concepts of the show.+++ http://sk888.phpfreehosting.net/derking.html com

Sofia Sun, Jan 18, 2009 at 12:57 PM EST

"UGH! Smallville is NOT even Smallville anymore"

You're right Ash, Smallville isn't Smallville anymore.... what's airing now is ten times BETTER than the Smallville of old ever was. I'm almost shocked how good "Smallville" season 8 has been. It's been better than "Heroes" lately! It was a truly wise decision to get rid of Millar/Gough. I'd be thrilled we could get a season 9, however, I really do think S9 needs to be the last. The show is practically all set in Metropolis now and Clark is closer to becoming Superman than he's ever been. If the show could get a bigger budget and stays the same storytelling quality of S8 except all written with a clear finality of a final season? It could really end on a high note.

I am so happy Tom Welling is considering signing for a ninth season of Smallville. It is my favorite show, and they need to pay him whatever it takes to keep him until time for the jump to the big screen as Superman. He is superb in that role, and he deserves much more press than he gets. People magazine needs to wake up and put him on the cover as the next Sexiest Man Alive!

Firefly Fri, Jan 9, 2009 at 02:15 PM EST

Aww, God knows how I miss the first seasons of House. Back then it was made of awesome, now it's barely watchable. Bringing in a new team was the worst thing TPTB could do to this show, and the ratings prove this.

I wish we had some spoilers about Chase, Cameron or Wilson.

:(

Stacey Fri, Jan 9, 2009 at 05:04 AM EST

I think if the focus was just on Foreteen or Huddy (not both) in an episode, people wouldn't be complaining.
I'm a die-hard Huddy, but I can really understand where people are coming from. I just wish stupid ship war crap and character bashing didn't have to take place.

BOSTON Fri, Jan 9, 2009 at 12:06 AM EST

karolina Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 10:34 PM EST

So I am hooked on the spoilers as much as my favorite shows. Pretty soon I am going to need spoilers on Ausiello spoilers themselves.

Anything on Gossip Girl?

Robbie Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 05:11 PM EST

Smallville Season 9, YES! I've been watching since season 1, back in 2000, and I think it's an amazing addition to the Superman/Lois & Clark mythos. Superb cast, great writing, uber plot twists and great special effects! Smallville rules, this is great news!

Kat Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 03:17 PM EST

What's worse about this House spoiler is that it's the 100th episode of the show. Where are spoilers for Wilson, Cameron and Chase? The 100th episode should be about what made the show good, which is all the cast of the first 70 episodes, not what is causing viewers to give up on the show (24% drop in audience this season).

If Shore were to drop the Thirteen and Foreman story lines and give that time to stories with Wilson, Cameron, Chase and maybe Kutner, people wouldn't be complaining so much about Huddy. As it is, the anger of the old fans at Shore's and Jacob's broken promises and dumbing down of the show is ruining what could be fun about Huddy.

I hope you're right that the rest of the season will get the show back on track but hearing that it will be only Olivia Wilde and Lisa Edelstein interviewed on the press tour doesn't fill me with hope.

Casey, thank you for a good discussion in this minefield.

Kat Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 03:12 PM EST

Casey, I know that not everyone likes every story line. I hated the Sam/Luka arc on ER but I kept watching because while it was going on, they gave some very good professional growth stuff to Abby. Grey's Anatomy is currently running 7 story lines. 6 of them I don't care about but I will watch the show to catch 3 minutes of Owen Hunt.

The problem with House is that there nothing this season but Huddy and Thirteen/Foreman, which leaves me nothing to watch for. Wilson is only used to push Huddy, the patients are anvils for either Huddy or Foreteen and the 10 seconds we get of Chase or Cameron just reminds me how much I miss them. Even the Stacy arc had episodes without her that focused on the team interactions like Daddy's Boy and Deception, or the Wilson/Cameron scenes of Acceptance & Spin. If the rest of the show was something I was enjoying, I wouldn't mind the Huddy scenes. The problem is that the rest is Foreteen and I dislike that even more so I'm left with very little I enjoy.

Roxy Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 03:09 PM EST

Jeffrey Donovan is awesome and smokin hot...I was already pumped for new Burn Notice episodes but that little tid bit just sealed the deal...January 22nd can't come soon enough!!

minderbinder Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 02:34 PM EST

Jeffrey Donovan is in a play currently running in Chicago - I got to see it and both he and the play were way awesome.

I had never heard of him before, but I'm definitely checking out Burn Notice now.

shelly Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 02:31 PM EST

I don't want to keep arguing about this here so I'm just going to make one final note: I've never minded any of the romantic arcs on the show, including Stacy or when Chase/Cameron hooked up.

The thing that the fans of the original 3 seasons are disappointed by is not Huddy, but by how much Huddy (and 13) are TAKING OVER THE SHOW. The show used to focus on the medical mysteries and exploration of House's character firstmost, and how the supporting cast helped to flesh that out. I'm not upset because they're addressing the romantic relationships - I'm upset because they're doing that AT THE COST of taking time away from the medical mysteries and character drama that defined House as not only entertaining but also of substance.

Face it: if you cut House down to nothing but all the romantic stuff and sideline everything that made the show smart, you'll have a medical show that is nothing more than hookups - aka Grey's Anatomy. I signed up to watch House, not GA.

about the huddy thing...are you kidding? i think that its one of the best parts of the show... i believe that house deserves a love life in the show... it gets some-what boring without them.. for instance the second season of house was incredible it involved the dignostic part and house had a relationship with someone. GOOO HUDDY. ps. thanks Ausiello

i so share your hunch bout chucks mum i think he could also have more family than he thinks.

It is kind of amazing. Shows like Kyle XY and Eureka - neither of them anything ultra speacial but both of them shows I watch - go off for 6 months at a time and then come back with BIG promo pushes. Their "networks" aren't huge. Their budgets can't be. WHY can't someone else just pick up Eli and Daisies? Both are good fits for ABC Family or even USA - "characters welcome" - right?

I can't believe that all of America wants to watch "The Biggest Mama's Boy Survivor Bachelor Idol" rather than intelligent, well written shows that engage AND entertain.

Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 12:20 PM EST

Well, House won an award (PCA) for the first time as an ensemble last night. They must be doing something right.

Anyway, thank you so much for the spoilers, Ausiello, specially the Smallville tidbit. It's been my guilty pleasure for years.

Olivia Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 10:47 AM EST

Heather and Christina, you guys rock! And Ausiello thanks so much for giving us these great news on House and Cuddy!!! Can't wait for the torture!

To the House talkers! Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 10:37 AM EST

Ok, seems to me that the comments thread has been turned into a House fans conflict! So, to all of you: do you actually think that the writers would develop a romantic thing with House and Cuddy that would take up all the time of the episodes? Do you expect to see them holding hands, sharing ice-creams and finding out they had a kid 20 years ago that was stolen the birthday? CERTAINLY NO! So how is the show turning into a soap exactly? Because I don't remember that much complaining with the Hameron thing in S1, or the super-romantic House with Stacy in season 2!! You can't expect from a medical drama that will keep on for 8 years probably, to not have relationships and character developments! And don't tell me you don't want to know about the characters more because that's a lie! It's still focused on the medicine and if an episode or two has some romance in it, then we are turning into a soap? Seriously? Relax and enjoy the season! And show some trust to the writers!

Tara Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 10:11 AM EST

Okay so Ugly Betty Marc roommate guesses: mine is officially going down as Christina...just a hunch

Heather Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 08:59 AM EST

So Sally, let me see if I've got this right, anyone who is enjoying the direction of the show or likes House and Cuddy must not be a very good fan...or hasn't watched it for very long??? Wow have you got it flipped! I don't need to offer you my House credentials so that you know I'm fan enough, but I will say that WAAAY back in the day when I was in the minority of fans who did like House and Cuddy I stuck to my guns because I knew the day would come when I would be vindicated, that I would someday get a gift from the tv gods and look at that. While i don't want to see the two of them swooning in love, the dance is so much fun to watch. I am at the very least pleased to see that Cuddy's Ass is getting more screen time than Cameron (wink DC)...and while it would be rude of me to make assumptions about you I will say that the thing that always annoyed me most about Cameron, was her fans.

Shannon Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 08:37 AM EST

{hugs} thanks for some True Blood scoop!

Sidra Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 08:16 AM EST

Oh wow, my question got answered.
Amanda's already living with Betty so I'm guessing it's not her. what if it's cliff or someone?

Danielle Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 06:18 AM EST

Sally - I'm a Huddy fan, but I'm also a long-time House fan (yep, from the Pilot). And despite the introduction of more overt romantic House/Cuddy overtures this season, I can't say I'm thrilled with the progression of the show over the past couple of seasons. Certainly, I'm enjoying this new dynamic between House and Cuddy (with a few exceptions), but I'm not looking for House to fall madly in love with Cuddy and live happily ever after. I want snark and tension and, sure, maybe some making out every now and then. ;)

Let's face it; House M.D. is at its best when it focuses on the trifecta of House, his relationships and the medicine. I think it's nice to shine the spotlight on other characters or romantic entanglements every now and then, but not for any extended period of time. And I think this is where the show has fallen down in Seasons 4 and 5.

Koala Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 05:06 AM EST

House, getting a dose of his own medicine, that,I'll have to see.

David Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 04:57 AM EST

ABC should just air the remaining episodes of Daisies and Eli Stone on one day. I don't care so much about Dirty Sexy Money but I'm sure it's fans do.
Or maybe they can air the remaining episodes of all these shows at 10 pm on Thursday when no one watches Private Practice.

deniz Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 04:22 AM EST

it is great and super to hear that Tom had accepted considering season 9 .This means lots of adventure for Justice League and more Clois fun for us.Thank you for the great news.

Sally Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 02:40 AM EST

Heather, let me guess, you didn't watch any of the seasons before, right? Just started watching? It's pretty obvious, otherwise you wouldn't say stuff like that. Or you didn't like the show before and just watch it for Huddy now.
I will watch House as long as Hugh is in, no matter what happens. And I will say what I like and don't like, no matter if you want to hear it or not (it's not like I'm telling you anyway, just don't read it if you don't want to read it). I've watched House ever since the pilot, and I think it's our right to say our opinion, especially after being a fan for so long time.

Sally Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 02:34 AM EST

Shelly, Kat, Julianna, Marg... I'm so glad to see there are more guys who miss House like it was before the Huddy mania started. Agree with all of you!
Somehow I was even surprised to see House winning the PCAs - but hell, despite the fact that I'm not happy with season 5 so far, I voted for them, just because overall the show deserves to win for the achievings in the past. And I was so happy to see all the actors, especially the "old" team, that made my day :-)

Amen Rebecca. Amen.

Rebecca Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 12:11 AM EST

Since ABC doesn't seem give a fig about their viewers, this message goes out to another network, any other network: PLEASE PLEASE pick up Pushing Daisies, and PLEASE, for god's sake, air the episodes!!!

Samantha Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 12:11 AM EST

Dear ABC,
Meg is right. You all suck, for oh-so-many reasons but really for canceling Pushing Daisies and then not even giving its fans the last three seasons. My god, is it so much to ask to air 3 episodes? I don't care how or when you do it, just do it.

Heather Thu, Jan 8, 2009 at 12:06 AM EST

Awesome House spoilers...I have been waiting for some good news and lo here it is...

Nay sayers...if you dislike the show so much please feel free to turn the channel and not waist another breath talking about how much you loath it...I have adored every second of this season and can not wait for more!

BOSTON Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 11:58 PM EST

Blitzen Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 11:38 PM EST

Dear anyone who has anything to say about anything: You do not represent everyone. Other people have completely opposing views on your subject of choice, so stop pretending these episodes will be rewritten, refilmed, reedited, and rescored before January 19 at 8:00 on FOX.

Trina Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 11:32 PM EST

I am just waiting for this bad HouseMD! dream to end, so that I can smile when I see House and Cameron in the same scenes again with their wonderful chemistry.

I know you are with me on this, Ausiello :)!

Jan Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 11:27 PM EST

If Foreman's actions lead to him getting off the show and taking Thirteen with him, I'm all for it. Otherwise, between that and yet more Huddy, it sounds like an episode to skip.

So Tony temporarily replaces Gibbs on NCIS, and Cameron may temporarily replace Cuddy on House. Going head-to-head on plots, my money's on NCIS doing a better job of writing Tony and Gibbs than House does of Cameron, House and Cuddy. They certainly did the "team gets fired" plot better.

Casey Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 11:10 PM EST

Kat, I can sort of see where you're coming from. This season brings out more Huddy then we've ever witnessed before. Also fueled by internet speculation and shippers/ship wars going bananas. But I still don't think it's enough to tank the show, as some out there have so passionately put it. I can think of two, maybe three episodes where Huddy was particularly heavy...but I do understand that the insinuation of Huddy is more prominent in this season than ever before. With that said, I still believe this arc will be over before it really even starts, because I think the writers know as well as anyone else, House cannot withstand any type of relationship anytime soon. Don't worry, the season is still fairly young. I'm sure once we get past all this, peace can be restored to the land of House once again!
BTW, thank you for responding kindly and tactfully. A lot of House fans can get pretty brutal with each other when "discussing" these things, lol.

No, no, no ,no ,no, NO.. UGH! Smallville is NOT even Smallville anymore... how the heck can Tom even think about another season?!
I thought for sure he wouldnt let money get to him. *rolls eyes*
Next they will be trying for a 10th season and wanting to round it out at an even number. *rolls eyes again*
HOLLY HECK!.. KK and MR MUST be in atleast half of the season if there is to be another... I dont care about the "justice league"; get them their own show.. and I dont care about this Lois; I've seen enough and read enough about her and Clark, that I do NOT want to see it again for alteast another 2 years!
Gosh this is so FRAKED up! >:(
Really dissapointed.

Kat Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 09:05 PM EST

Casey, people are bitter about House because it's been cut down to the Huddy/Thirteen show. There's been so much of Huddy since the two parter at the end of last season that even the one episode where we saw Cameron and Chase was taken over by the Huddy. People like Manu and jaded who ship Huddy are okay with the season but those of us who don't care about either Huddy or Thirteen get nothing this season.

The original show was complex and intelligent and had six strong, interesting characters. Now Cameron and Chase only appear for 20 seconds if they appear at all, all Wilson does is push Huddy, the patients are forgettable and all the show does is the Thirteen/Foreman, Huddy and Taub soap operas. I watch about 10 minutes and fast forward through the rest.

I want the old House show back, the one I fell for back in season 1. This is a very poor imitation. I'm still hanging in but my patience is going to be gone unless the quality starts coming back.

Joey Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 09:04 PM EST

I might be totally going out on a limb here, but is Serena cutting her hair? If not, I'm guessing this is related to the Italian boyfriend thing.

jaded Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 08:46 PM EST

Wow, I can't wait to see how Cuddy tortures House. ;) The 14 stuff is boring! GO HUDDY!

Marg Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 08:41 PM EST

There has been nothing but Foreteen, Huddy, more Foreteen and yet more Huddy on House since House and Wilson got resolved in episode 4. Way to make a once good show boring because I can't care less about either of these two storylines, they're not even good soap opera. Is there anything at all coming up for Cameron? For Chase? For Wilson other than to act as Cupid for House and Cuddy? Any interesting patients? Shore is doing a good job of tanking his own show.

Thank goodness for NCIS, Life, Flashpoint coming back and yes, even Grey's Anatomy because if you're going to be totally unrealistic, at least make it interesting.

janeway Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 08:40 PM EST

I hope ABC crashes and burns. Besides LOST there is nothing worth watching on ABC anymore. Grey's has been ridiculous this season. Wednesday night used to be all ABC starting with the awesome Daisies. For the first time in a long awhile I am switching networks. The LEAST that ABC could do for fans is air the remaining episodes of Daises, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. Why should I get invested in another ABC show when they can screw their viewers like this??

Christian Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 08:26 PM EST

Great news about Smallville. Glad to read it's coming back for another season.

Meg Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 08:12 PM EST

Dear ABC:
You guys are even worse than NBC (!) You first cancelled 2 of the best shows on TV--Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. I loved both, but I grew soooo attached to Daisies. And you are not going to air them at all? If it wasn't for Lost and Life on Mars, I wouldn't be watching you at all. According to tvguide.com, you are BOUND BY CONTRACT to air the episodes you produced. So, let's see them. Hell, I don't care if you aired all of Pushing Daisies straight in one night! I might prefer that, so that I won't worry that you will cheat us out! And you can do the same for Eli as well! We're supposed to be happy that you left us hanging with Eli mysteriously bleeding?

Seriously....do something smart and GOOD for once. Air the episodes; they're gone now, so it won't harm you at all. And maybe devoted fans of these shows will stop sending you death threats (maybe). AIR THEM!!!
