Now I have another reason to lament ABC’s decision to bench Samantha Who? in favor of expanded episodes of The Bachelor: The oh-so-groovy Angie Harmon is joining the cast!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Women’s Murder Club survivor has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Gigi, the infamous (and crazy) ex-wife of Sam’s current honey, Funk (Billy Zane).
What’s so infamous about her? Let’s just say Ms. Cuckoo Puffs plays a critical role in the show’s mythology. And it’s Awe. Some.
Unfortunately, now that ABC has delayed Samantha’s return, I’m unable to give you even a rough air date for Harmon’s debut. I can tell you she’s not slated to show up until the show’s season finale. The net is expected to announce a new return date for the show in the coming days, so stay tuned.

She’s the one that ran over Sam because she found out about Sam’s affair with her hubby!!!!
They probably wont have it return until Dancing With the Stars comes back. It is a great lead in for the show.

Wow. ABC really doesn’t want people to watch their crappy network, eh? 12 more episodes of Scrubs and 1 1/2 more seasons of LOST, as well as bumping Samantha Who? into cancellation and i’m out. This network can go straight to h*ll.
Hilarious, According to Jim dud. Scrubs, dud, Samatha Who?… bout to be a dud. ABC doesn’t have a single comedy that is worth watching. Scrubs isn’t what it used to be. ABC was supposed to be on a comeback, but instead it sinks back into non being. Congrats you took the funniest thing on your network (Boston Legal) and shoved it out the door. But I have to sit and watch this crap? No thanks! Thank goodness for NBC’s 9pm comedies.
So that’s why the show hasn’t been on. I enjoy The Bachelor, but really don’t need extended episodes of it. I’d much prefer to have Samantha Who?
Seriously, Samantha Who? gets bumped for the Bachelor? Come on ABC give us back Samantha Who? so we can watch it. I loved Angie in Women’s Murder Club and happy to hear she will be showing up on Samantha Who? Now if I could only watch the show.
Yes, I definitely think that she was driving the car. The only shoes I watch (besides Heroes) are on ABC – Samantha Who?, Brothers & Sisters, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s. It sounds like Samantha Who? and Ugly Betty aren’t doing too well though, and that makes me sad! We want SW back on the air!

Is the delay possibly related to Applegate’s bout with cancer? Please say it isn’t because of poor ratings – and quite frankly, I think Andrea should get a BSA nod by either the emmys or whatever…. She’s awe (wait for it) some!

Good God. Harmon needs to stay off the air. She was horrible in the Women’s Murder Club. I love the books but her whispering voice is a drag. She was almost impossible to watch and I liked her in L&O. Her and Batman need to learn how to speak properly.
Once again, say it with me, Steven McPherson didn’t deserve a promotion he deserved a pink slip!!!!
NBC must love it – they are going to be coming back, how long before Jimmy Kimmel is on every night at 10:00pm?
