Big news from Fox’s portion of winter press tour! The net just announced that Prison Break would be coming to an end this season. Oh, did I say big news? I meant news we all saw coming a mile away.
The final string of episodes will kick off April 17, but exactly how many episodes there will be is an open question. "We’ve got our remaining batch of four episodes and then there are a couple more we’re contemplating," says network prez Kevin Reilly, adding that the four-year old Prison has simply run its course. "The show is played out."

This is good – this show has sooo run it’s course. I hope they have some good story resolution though.

I mean they broke out of prison what, three years ago? Time to put a bullet in the show.
I thought it was over after Sarah got beheaded and T-Bag became a neurosurgeon– on himself! And all the prisoners get stuck at the same prison? The only thing that didn’t happen was Lincoln become Michael’s baby-daddy in a way to cover some stolen loot.
Good riddance to a show that was once good.
I really liked Prison Break and thought this past season was doing Well. Another Great show goes down, while other crap remains on the Boob Tube. Sad…
I’ve watched it since day 1. It’s run it’s course, but I have enjoyed this season more than any previous season (seasons 1 & 2 were pretty darn good, though). I’ll miss it, but I think it would be a mistake to give it another season. I just hope it all gets wrapped up properly, since they just introduced Michael and Linc’s mom.
Maybe they’ll explain in the final episode why Michael and Linc have different last names – lol.
I enjoyed Prison Break this season and was kind of curious about The Company after a couple of the twists that were thrown at us… but, I do have to agree that the show had run its course. Good times for awhile!
I love Prison Break! I am really sad its ending. I think they should have named it something else, because everyone expects them to be breaking out of prison every episode. I like the direction they have gone with the Company. I think it all makes sense now.
I have watched Prison Break since day 1, but I’m very very glad it’s ending. This is a show that needs an ending date. It can’t go on forever. The show is getting more and more ridiculous with each season. Just because you like a show doesn’t mean it should go on endlessly. I just hope FOX lets them resolve everything with a proper finale. I want to see Linc and Michael finally live happily ever after, after all the hell they have been through. Ending this show was a good decision.
I think it is time to end the show, but I do want to say that season 4 has been the best post-prison season. I was not a huge fan of season 3 (the “SONA” season) and I think they developed a good sotryline for this season to let the show come to a decent conclusion.
Hmm..well, they are filming an episode RIGHT NOW over by the Long Beach Arena so they’ll have some episodes for sure.
No way…can not live without my Prison Break…totally love it and will totally hate FOX if will not continue it.
I’ve been watching Prison Break since day 1, and as sad as I am to see it end, I know it definitely needed. I hope the finale is as good as the passed 4 seasons have been. Give the show an awesome goodbye.
I thought this was the best season yet, and I’m going to miss the show. I think they could have continued on with it.

I LOVE prison break!!! I never saw this coming. Not now. It’s just getting started!!! Its ending before it began! Prison Break=Great producers!! Great Writers!! Great Crew!! Great Production!! Great story lines -s1 the break out, s2=on the run, s3=out of country, s4=the truth or is it… and so much more!! Great cast!!! Great guest stars!! FANTASTIC SHOW!!! we are not ready to tear apart prison break!!! AWESOME JOB PRISON BREAK!!! WE LOOVE THE SHOW!!!!
It could have been a really good, interesting two year show, but it definitely should have ended within two or three episodes of them breaking out of prison. Good luck to all.
I’m sorry that Prison Break has been cancelled. Although the premise is silly, we find it to be very entertaining.
I do like the show .. not LOVE it like I use to ‘SONA’ ruin it for me. But the show is a bigger hit outside of the US …. I know alot of people from other countries that will take the news bad.
I love Prison Break and wish it were NOT ending! I’m actually shocked to see this news and very bummed now. The incredible things the writers have done with this show in coming up with intriguing storylines has kept me glued sincd day one. Really bums me out when they end shows I start liking, like Men in Trees. Geez. I just hope they give them a somewhat decent ending so I can at least feel good about it and the investments I’ve made into these characters. I know it might sound silly, but loyal viewers need some closure.

Is that a typo? There is actually 6 episodes left this season (16 have aired and it’s a 22 episode season.) There was an article a few months ago that said FOX was contemplating adding 2 more in addition to the 6.

You are aware none of you have decent taste right?! Fox are a bunch of c*ck sucking suits who wouldnt know good entertainment if it kicked them in their undersized over paid b*ll*cks. I think they ought to get off their f*cking high horses (a few of you should take this advice too) and grow a sense of taste! Hard Core fans of good shows deserve an ending, How many decent shows must come to an end under the wings of this tyranny? I am so glad I will be having absolutely nothing to do with this f*cking sh1t now the only show it actually held any merit for has ended.

I am very disappointed I love this show. I don’t understand fox. Til death the ruined by taking away the younger couple. King of the hill they never gave any promotion for. Soon all they are going to have left is reality shows. If I lose House and my Sunday night cartoons I am done.

Not surprising or heartbreaking. I gave up on the bad acting and ridiculous storylines halfway through season 1. You won’t be missed. Fringe…you’re next.
I also don’t feel that the actors from Prison Break like Wentworth Miller certainly, have ever received enough star credit for the INCREDIBLE job he’s done on that show. Or the writers, or the producers, etc. Why hasn’t this show been given the credit it’s due? You wouldn’t believe how many friends I have that love this show. I guess someone in Hollywood just isn’t getting the real message from viewers.
