Kevin and Scotty are about to encounter the biggest threat to their marriage since Prop 8: The return of Jason Lewis!
A Brothers & Sisters insider confirms to me exclusively that the Sex and the City vet has inked a deal to reprise his role as Kevin’s ex, closeted actor Chad, later this season.
Quick refresher on Kevin/Chad: Introduced in season 1, a then “straight” Chad met Kevin at the gym and the two started a secret affair. When a gossip site leaked incriminating pics of them shopping for lamps at Ikea, Chad decided to come out publicly, at which point he promptly lost interest in Kevin and the two broke up.
According to a B&S insider, the exes reconnect at a bar and one thing leads to another — although in this case, I’m pretty sure the “thing” it leads to is just some harmless flirting. But I could be wrong.
As of now, Lewis is on board for one episode, which is slated to air in April.

Jason was great in season 1 but I think if they brought back Eric Winter that would be a bigger threat.

As much as I liked Scotty in the first season, I got over him pretty quickly when Jason McCallister (eric winter) showed up. I know Eric Winter went off to do another show on CBS, but they should try to get him back if he’s available. Scotty is sweet, but everyone knows Kevin would dump him in a second if that hot piece-of-a** priest showed up again.
Why must they continue to crap on Scotty? They are both serious eye candy, but actor man Chad was an emotional cripple and we know how neurotic Kevin is…let’s leave him and Scotty alone…Get rid of Rebecca and her mother…they’re sickening..
As much as I liked Kevin with Jason – I really thought they were great together – I now want him to stay with Scotty. C’mon, don’t you guys think that they make such a cute couple?
Given Kevin’s neurotic idiosynrasies, I think it would have made for a much more interesting story line if one of Scotty’s old boyfriends returned. They could introduce a new hot character to boot.
Or how’s this for a twist? Did Chad know Scotty? If not, what if Chad returned having us all believe he had eyes for Kevin, only to find out he was someone Scotty was involved with too!
I’m sure the writers only meant for Jason to be a brief rebound boyfriend for Kevin, but the problem is that it worked too well, and when Kevin went back to Scotty … kinda feels like he settled because Jason got away.

Chad did know Scotty. At least they once met briefly in a bar (not sure which episode though – but I think it is “Valentine’s Day Massacre” or the episode after that).

Oh, please, I was so DONE with the writers constantly making Kevin cheat on the persons he’s supposed to be in a relationship with. Kevin FINALLY made the BEST choice he could make and now they bring back Chad? I liked Chad way back then, but I love Scotty even more and I do hope that the writers will be smarter than to let Kevin cheat on Scotty. There isn’t a story-line more lame and more predictable than that one. I hope the writers will shock us by letting Kevin be tempted, but then decide to be the mature man he can be and be faithful.
I love me some Jason Lewis but I don’t want to see anything happen to Scotty. I have liked him since day one on the show and think him and Kevin make a great couple. Now if they want to throw Chad in as a third partner and all parties were happy with arrangement I would be fine with that too!
Why are all of Kevin’s boyfriends so considerably more hotter than him???
I hate to be the buzzkill, but this is a drama series. OF COURSE the characters are going to have conflict. If Kevin and Scotty just sailed along happy as clams, we’d be calling them “boring” (just like people are saying about Rebecca, now that she is fairly drama-free)!
And, its just one episode. Kotty will survive!

Um. Couldn’t they get Eric Winter back instead? He was hot AND could act. I guess anyone is better than boring as hell Scotty though…
Scotty is one of my favorites on thsi show, so hopefully skeezy Chad won’t do anything to mess with the awesomeness that is Scotty.
Well, if Kevin doesn’t want Scotty, I do, even if he’s gay and I’m a straight girl… and I won’t mind looking at Jason Lewis.

liked Lewis when he was first on. BUT ~ I really, really, REALLY like Scotty. he’s so good to AND for Kevin who too often the producers make a stereotypical bitchy, silly, whiny ‘gay’ man. Scotty brings calmness and sensibility to Kevin. if the producers really want to mix things up, let Lewis fall for Scotty and scare the doo-doo outta Kevin. Scotty is the prize in that relationship. NOT Kevin.

eh, I know it’s a soap so people can’t stay happy long but I really like Kevin and Scotty as a good, healthy example of a gay relationship that works on tv so I’m not overly excited about this plot twist
