NBC has just unveiled their mid-season plan of attack. Highlights are below:
• An hour-long episode of The Office will follow the network’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1.
• The series finale of ER airs March 12.
• Much-buzzed-about-by-me drama Kings takes over ER’s Thursday,10 p.m./ET slot beginning March 19.
• Heroes‘ latest volume, "Fugitives," kicks off Feb. 2 at 9 p.m./ET. Chuck will remain at 8 p.m./ET.
• Medium returns to Mondays at 10 p.m./ET beginning Feb. 2.
• Low ratings have prompted NBC to trim Knight Rider’s order from 21 episodes to 17. As a result, the show’s season (and possible series) finale will be broadcast Feb. 25.
• Celebrity Apprentice will air in two-hour chunks beginning Sunday, March 1.
Any questions?

Is NBC still planning on sticking with Chuck despite its relatively low ratings? Chuck and Pushing Daisies are my 2 favorite shows. It seemed like they had similar ratings, and we know what happened to Pushing Daisies.
Wait, March 19th? That’s way too far away. And also, starting a show in March? Please tell me NBC isn’t trying to stop Kings before it starts!
Chuck is returning on February 2 (the day after Super Bowl) with a 3-D episode! It’s already got a full season order a long time ago.
What about Merlin and Amy Poehler’s new show?
NBC needs to raise its game…
Two hours of Celebrity Apprentice? Thank goodness TiVo will let me break it up into tolerable chunks.
Sure… I invest in those 7 hours of saved up Knight Rider after Thanksgiving and NOW they decide to cut their extended order.
apostrophe — March isn’t a burnoff zone this year. Because of the switchover to digital in February 2009, sweeps have been moved back to March. NBC’s scheduling move isn’t a knock against Kings.
I’m looking forward to The Office after the Super Bowl. Hopefully, it won’t disappoint, like some of the 1 hr shows have in the past.
Not that this has anything to do with the topic at hand, but I noticed this on the EW homepage: Bad Girls Club is still on. Seriously? This is still on but Pushing Daisies gets canned?
I still have all of this season’s ER episodes on my Tivo list, I’ll get there. I’ll miss it but as you can tell I’m not going to miss it too much lol.
Can’t wait for Medium, I love Joe and Allison’s relationship.
Any questions?
Yeah can you tell us who that blind item is you wrote about yesterday?
I agree… Some of this dreck is still is still on but they cancel Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone? And you wonder why Network Television is going down fast.
Question: Where’s the much-hyped and uber-mysterious untitled Office spin-off?
*Raises hand* I have a question. Knight Rider is still on the air and Arrested Development is not. What is wrong wqith the people who run TV?
Or…
What is wrong with the people who watch TV?
I have a question too. Who the hell cares about Celebrity Apprentice? Seriously.
I have a question: When will the ‘Apprentice’ franchise die? Blech.
Yeah, any chance NBC (given their slide)… or any other network (cable?) will pick up Pushing Daisies?
OMG!!! 2 hour blocks of Celebrity Apprentice. No wonder I never watch NBC anymore.
So I guess this means the new Knight Rider won’t even out last the abominable Team Knight rider (total 19 hours vs 22). That’s gotta burn!
Amy,
Chuck, while having low overall ratings compared to other shows, still has MUCH better ratings than PD in both total viewers and the Adult 18-49 demographic. Given NBCs stuggles and the quality of the show I’m still optimistic that it’ll get picked up for a 3rd season.
So, Knight Rider, got their full season pick up (much to my dismay) about 6 WEEKS AGO!! And now they’re being cut back by 4 of those .. (I’m laughing at the network on the inside)
=[ knight rider is gonna get cancelled? *sigh* pretty much every show i actually like on nbc gets cut after 1 or 2 seasons.

Why did Knight Rider ever go past the pilot.
The show is laughable…
Pretty much the only shows that I care about in this network are Chuck and The Office.
I just desperately hope it doesn’t receive the same fate as another brilliant show: Pushing Daisies.
I’m glad my newbie favorite Chuck picked up a full season
The whole point of Knight Rider is to be silly. comic relief for the week. I like Kitt and the pixar twins-the only real actors in the show
Also have to agree that NBC is “WTF’ channel, they are owner of scifi and have ruined that network with reality shows. I don’t get it?????
here’s a question…how about some LIFE scoop?
No news here @ the January schedule, when in the new year it will return, etc..
i really love the show, throw me a bone!
Why do they keep putting a drama on thursday nights at 10pm after 2 hours of comedy that makes lots of sense. No wonder they are in 4th place
The Chuck 3D episode is 2.13. When is episode 2.12 going to air? In December or after 21.3 in Feb?
