I know that this is very old, but I just saw it and I have to say that I really believe that Eric has MEMORISE these words!!!!
Seriously, he has to find another anbswer! OF COURSE WE WANT DANIEL AND BETTY TOGETHER!!! IT WILL BE COMPLETELY POINTLESS AND DISAPPOINTING IF THEY STAY FOREVER FRIENDS!!!!
The only thing that I liked about his answer, is that he realises that the fans want them us a couple!!!
I understand that is early for that, but IT HAS TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY!!!!!

The latest reports indicate that a romance b/w Betty and Daniel is never likely to happen, which makes me very disappointed. The report claims that a romance will ruin the friendship Daniel and Betty have now. If you are a Detty fan we are asking for you to sign a petition on the following link.

Betty and Daniel have a fantastic relationship as friends for years. However, the show is coming into season four and it's time to start connecting them romantically. That'll take years anyways, but it would be nice to throw us a bone. We all know that in the end the show will put Daniel and Betty together, but it's a question of when. I would suggest at least start the sparks between the two, because it's dragging on without any results...maybe thatswhy the show is losing ratings.

Whoever your source is for that rumor about Eric and America must be an idiot. Both actors seem way too diplomatic to ever be the types who would say that kind of thing. I just can't see them stomping their feet with the writers over something like this. Besides, they're actors. If the job calls for it, then do it. What's the big deal?

Hey Mamita,
Betty and Daniel are not unrealistic, if you're closely watching the show. What makes them special is the fact that their relationship is built on more than that typical, cliched sexual tension crap that you see with every other couple on TV.
Eric is right - Daniel and Betty's relationship is complex, BUT that's exactly why so many fans want them to be together by the end of the series...including me. Their relationship is so multi-faceted and interesting that they really make a sweet pair. By the time this show finishes, I really can't see how either of them will end up with anyone else, considering how well they complete each other.
And BTW, Renee's character is gone. Gabrielle's stint on the show was never meant to be long term.
Also, Michael? Your interview with Eric really didn't answer the rumor question. He never said "yes" or "no" to what you were asking.
Trust me - the possibility of a D/B romance isn't dead. It's still on the table.

Doesnt Claire have stake in the company?
So if it is Alexis/Will on 1 side
Daniel/Claire on the other, it is a 50/50 split.
I dont get how Alexis has all the power.

I love Betty & Daniel, but not together..
He is a manwhore and the only woman he can deal with is feisty broads like Willie, her sister Renée or some other no nonsense woman.
Putting Daniel and Betty is extremely unrealistic. They are great friends that know each other well.. But his past history is too CHAOTIC for the likes of Betty.
Now badasssss Renée can beat the competition one stiletto at a time..
BTW (Gabrielle Union is totally awesome as Renée) - She needs to totally hook up with Marc as her evil sidekick - He should betray Willie and be separated for a while..

As long as they find perfect idiots (with knocked up girlfriends) as Betty's love interest, i'll root for Betty and Daniel. Plus, i don't want anyone for Daniel 'cause i don't want any woman between him and Betty.
Anyway, they totally get each other, they only have bad relationships, i don't get why is so bad to want them to have something.

okayyy so I gotta admit, I'm one of the ones hoping for Daniel Betty later on in the series...so I'm hoping that idea hasn't been kicked completely out the door.
