Mike, you’ve got to ask about Jesse sometime! He’s such a cutie. My gosh, I saw the pics of Val Emmich at the party, and I saw him on some “Ugly Betty” promo on YouTube. And I’d like to know more about his character. In fact, I think you should have interviewed Val Emmich himself!
Also, could you possibly get more spoilers on the Meade family? I’d like to know what’s going to happen with Alexis, Claire, and especially Daniel. How exactly will Alexis be booted off? And what about Daniel’s son?

. I also like hearing America’s pov on Betty’s new look this year. Her fashion sense was looking a little “out there” for Season 3. But, she’s right. Anything is better than Grandma’s closet.

Freddy Rodriguez was great in S2, I hope things are really as open-ended as America said and we see him return for MORE than one measly episode.
America Ferrera is awesome! I love her acting and can’t wait to see her portray Betty in S3. There’s been a lot of talk about Betty’s unique sense of fashion…many find themselves grimacing, but I just end up smiling when I see the pictures. It’s so uniquely Betty! (well, I did grimace at that frightful collar when she was shooting in central park
LOL, screw Henry and Gio. Love triangles are so boring anyway. Bring on the new and improved Betty!
And yeah, Mike – ask more about the juicier stuff next time, like about Wilhelmina’s baby, Marc and Cliff, and the Meades! Yes, especially the Meades!
At this point, I think fans will eventually get over the whole love triangle thing, and not mind Henry and Gio being gone. Some fans will be bothered at first, but not for long. So, I don’t think America has to worry about appeasing anyone. From what I’ve seen on the internet in general, I think the audience is more excited to see the show return to its roots, like the way it was in Season 1.
And I think Betty’s wardrobe is going to be great in Season 3, especially with Patricia Field at the helm of the costume department. We’re in for some great costumes, in my opinion.
I thought the love triangle was played out and boring. I’m sure they’re great guys and they are good actors, but let’s move on.
Ttally agree with this people: I HATE LOVE TRIANGLES! Actually, I never though it was a triangle. For me Henry and Betty’s love story was dead since half midseason. I wish they understand viewers want a mature, adventurous and funny drama-free Betty. Season 3 concept will suit perfectly with a romance with this positive-character Gio (I adore him!). I´ll never stop saying: Freddy Rodriguez is hot right now with all his efforts promoting Latinos in film industry. I think he would do great as regular cast and boost ratings.

No, Kent is right – it was a love triangle, especially since things were never truly resolved between Henry and Betty until he came back and tried to propose. And I agree – I think it’s time to move on. I’m sure both Christopher Gorham and Freddy Rodriguez will have remarkable careers elsewhere. To me, it’s not really necessary for Betty to be stuck in a long-term romance with anyone right now. And from what I hear about this new guy, I think it’ll be a nice change of pace for her to keep things light and simple. Henry and Gio wanted to speed up their relationships with Betty, and that’s not what she needs right now.
I am pretty intrigued by the new Jesse character. So far, not much has been said about him, so you might want to consider getting some scoop on this guy, Michael.
The first time I saw Val Emmich was on “30 Rock”, and I thought he was great. I’m not a young teenager, but even I’ll admit that he’s easy on the eyes. Can’t wait to see what he does here to rock Betty’s world (no pun intended).
Betty had a man in season 1 – the type of show they are trying to get back to. He just wasn’t such a major focus of every show. The last thing she needs is a new one – to take up a lot of the storyline. If she has to have a man let her keep one of the ones she already likes but in a stable, mature relationship without all the drama. I would much prefer Gio over Henry – but don’t bring on another one. PLEASE!
Regarding all of those who are fighting hard for Betty and her romantic interests, I’m with some of the others on this one: Get over it already. This show is based on a telenovela, so you should expect tension and drama b/c that’s what makes this show tick. If you think that Betty is going to start a long-lasting relationship now without any drama whatsoever, then you’re dreaming. The writers would never let something that boring happen, especially since this is TV.
That aside, I personally think Betty is better off single and unattached for now. I think it’s about time that we get a breather from the “hot-and-heavy” romances in her life, and just focus on the stuff that made the show fun originally – like her life at Mode and with her family.

I was fine with Gio being an annoying obstacle, and FR did a great job acting as him, but I thought his character was a terrible choice for Betty and still can’t believe people actually wanted her to be with the manipulator. Betty and Henry had a beautiful relationship, but unfortunately with the show moving it will end (not to mention I think the writers really bungled it last season).
Quite frankly, introducing yet a new love interest just shows to me how far out of touch the writers have gotten from what the show is supposed to be about. Yeah, I’m not going to watch this season. Hope the best for the cast, though–they are great people.

PLEASE BRING BACK GIO!!! He is such a brilliant character and the chemistry between him and Betty is so good! I think S3 is suffering without him in it. Get rid of Henry though. I liked him in S1 but they should have left him out of S2 altogether.

I LOVELOVELOVELOVE Gio! I hate Henry – He is sosososo boring. The 1st & 2nd seasons were GREAT! The 3rd season had almost no Gio….i am going to stop watching ulgy betty season 4 if Gio doesn’t come back1! I AM serious!
