Former Tank Girl Lori Petty is checking into House for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm to me exclusively. Petty will play a patient with Huntington’s disease.
Petty’s arrival is sure to rattle Thirteen (Olivia Wilde), who, as you know, was diagnosed with the big “H” in the show’s season finale.
Speaking of House, did you hear the big news? This week’s episode of Ausiello TV — deliberately timed to coincide with Dr. Crabby Pants’ return tonight — addresses the widespread rumor that Cameron and Chase are getting into the baby-makin’ biz this season. Someone had to address it, right?

Ausiello, here you have a question that has nothing to do with ships, can you ask David Shore why he is so enamoured of Thirteen? The character is bland and boring, the actress doesn’t know how to act and the mysterious surrounding Thirteen is just poor writing. Thanks
Cameron and Chase back together? Not in this lifetime.
Remember when C&C were together on and off screen and broke up off screen? Then they didn’t have any scenes together. They couldn’t work together and make it appear real. Contract. Had to stay with the show. Can’t kill them off. Then came 13 and the others. It was only at the end of last season C&C had any real on screen time. Before they had separate scenes or not very friendly dialog with each other.

I’m a little confused by all this “House” 13 has Huntingtons talk. I thought she tested positive for the Huntingtons gene, which may or may not me she gets the disease. Isn’t that why she didn’t want to know? Or did I totally read that one wrong?
I too have tested positive for the HD gene. That doesn’t mean I have Huntington’s Disease now, it means I will (barring any medical advances) develop it in my 50s. I know it seems like a small difference, but it’s pretty huge to me! So to answer the question below, testing positive for HD means you will definitely develop the disease later in life. Phew! And I just came on here for a scoop!
It is my understanding that being positive for Huntington’s always means you will get the disease, though they cannot predict when symptoms will begin.
I’m confused… I just posted a comment and it appears it got taken off the board. What gives? All I said was that if you test positive for the HD gene (as Thirteen did), you’re not “diagnosed with Huntington’s”. Having the HD gene means that you will develop the disease later in life. I should know, I tested positive for the gene when I was 22. I really, really, really hope that ‘House’ portrays this experience respectfully and realistically.
Oops! And to “to CJ”, that’s right. Except onset of the disease tends to be genetic as well. If your parent developed the disease at 50, it’s very likely that you will, too. It also has something to do with your CAG count. Anyway. It makes for compelling TV, and a complicated reality.
Too bad I’m not as fascinated with 13 as David Shore is. I’m sure I’d like the show much better if I were, given all the time she’s getting on it, instead of wishing the other characters (Chase, Cameron, Kutner) would get some screen time too.
Why do they keep throwing more storylines to Thirteen? She has had more screen time than any of the new team and we’re getting more of her ‘internal struggle’?!?! Enough is enough. She’s the most boring character that has ever set on House or TV and they are giving her more storylines? She drops them everytime and cannot deliver. I will never understand why David Shore thinks that Thirteen is the next best thing. She’s most definitely not and she’s encouraging me to just turn my TV off and walk away. OH yeah sooo interesting. Just write her off already!!!!
I am glad Chase and Cameron are not shown as much together. I like Chase but Cameron’s whining got on my nerves. Plus her love for House, then her playing Chase also got on my nerves. I think 13 and Chase should get together. Add more drama and fighting.

How many more episodes are we going to get solely dedicated to frickin’ 13?!?! It was the season premiere people. 13 had a heavy ep this time around, but hopefully the other characters will get their due. ESPECIALLY the ones side-lined last year, let’s hope TPTB learn from their mistakes. And I’d just ignore Karla’s previous comments. She’s clearly a narrow minded imbecile who can’t spell.
The only reason to like 13/OW is because she’s hot? That’s not much of a reason at all. Being hot doesn’t totally absolve the fact she can’t act!

The very few positive comments I’ve seen about Thirteen lately have been from guys who think she’s “hot.” That is NOT a good reason to continue featuring this tiring character and this bland actress. She was in the premiere more than House himself – and that’s ridiculous. Now she has ANOTHER story arc coming up with Lori Petty? I’ll definitely be changing the channel. She’s not “Tiny Tim.” She doesn’t seem to evoke ANY feelings of sympathy or empathy from the audience. What on earth does David Shore see in this character, and why does he continue to shove her down our throats? Oh that’s right, she’s hot. (eyeroll)

Y’know, 13 is basically Cameron’s replacement…except 13 has to rely on her Huntington’s to keep her interesting to House. Otherwise, this character is boring. Kutner and Taub are better characters. Bring them back for once.

*groan* just great even more of boring 13. She is not interesting that I literally fell asleep when she was talking to the patient in the season premiere. I fail to feel any sympathy for her condition nor do I feel anything for her. The only real emotion I feel when I see her on TV is complete and utter dislike. I mean it’s bad enough we already have her front and centre of the premiere but now we are going to get multi-episode arcs about her as well?! Why not just rename House Md, to Hadley Md.
The way they are pushing her, it’s almost like she’s going to get her own spin-off. But that would sink big time! Just like House will if they continue to force 13 on our screen while giving more interesting and engaging characters still less screen time. Bring back Cameron and Chase more effectively and stop giving 13/OW more storylines.

You can develop Huntington’s Disease symptoms at ANY AGE, depending you your CAG-Repeats in your DNA code. Usually, that means you will probably get it around the same age as your predecessor. Though a family in my HD support group had a 7 yr old and a 29 year old die from it.
13 is very interesting to me — I am hd positive– I was tested in my 20’s and if history repeats itself like I think it will — I will develop symptons soon — my mother had disease and 4 out of 5 of my siblings have disease — My younger brother hasn’t tested yet So he just doesn’t know. My older sister has hd just attempted suicide again. This is how we lost our mother when we were children–So I am interested in how people get educated in this disease– It is devasting to families — It kills everyone — It changes a young person from who they are — Our mother was starting to have symptons in her late 30’s –The best way to describe it is this is how my nuero explained to me — If you took a blender and combined alzheimers, parkinson’s and multiple scleoris and mixed them all up you would have hd I have 2 sons who know what is happening — We have discussed at length at there options–
Yeah, 13 is sooo popular we’re going to give her even MORE of the storyline this year!! Just kill her off already, yeesh!
