Exclusive: 'Lost' Girl Alex Finds 'Cold Case' Gig

Looks like Ben’s little girl is all grown up — not to mention, well, alive.

Tania Raymonde, best known as Ben’s late daughter on Lost, is joining the cast of Cold Case as a funky lab tech and, despite the actors’ 14-year age difference, a potential love interest for Danny Pino. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Okay, there’s something a little wrong with that.

Much like Pino’s character, Valens, Raymonde’s alter ego, Frankie Rafferty, has a street-smart vibe that comes from growing up on the wrong side of the tracks in Philly. Rumor has it Frankie is also full of secrets.

Big secrets.

Raymonde starts shooting later this month, and her first airdate is slated for November.

So, peanut gallery, penny for your thoughts: You cool with the May-October thing? Looking forward to seeing what Raymonde looks like when she’s not running around a jungle with her crazy French mother (see above for a clue)? Any theories as to what her character is hiding? Spill!

She looks really pretty in that picture! The actors don’t look that far apart in age, either. Hope she’s good, the cast could use a little energy.

  • Mike

With a name like Frankie I’m thinking the big secret is a peni$!

  • Laura G

Her big secret is that she used to date Malcolm, right?

  • Gre

I’d almost forgotten that her character had died. Thanks for the sad reminder…

  • Grigio

Damn, I wanted to be Danny Pino’s love interest!!!

  • izikavazo

I’m still sad about poor little Alex, but at least the actress (who is very talented) got another job, and quick.

I don’t care about the personal relationships on this show, they keep giving Valens and Rush love interests, they all suck. I hope the cases are better this year, they were bad last year.

  • Carrie

Just keep Valens & Rush away from each other romantically and I’ll be happy.

  • Jay

    ewwww, that’s creepy…

  • Krystal

I’ve gotta look her up at IMDB, cuz I don’t watch Lost, and she looks so familiar!

  • shadester

what happend to the DA he was involved with?..i never liked her but i was just wondering? I liked his chemistry with Sara Brown and then she just dissapeared after just a few eps.

  • Tim

Man that was one of the most moving scenes in Lost when her character died. She did a good job on Lost and grats to her on her new gig.

  • bootsycolumbia

I agree about Sarah Brown. I know she’s on General Hospital, but I really liked her on Cold Case. Too bad the show didn’t keep her.

I’m still miffed they killed off Alex and Rousseau’s character on Lost. I can forgive killing off some characters, but not those two. Supposedly, next season, we’ll finally — FINALLY — get Rousseau’s back story. How good can it be now that she’s dead? Now that Alex is dead? Rousseau’s backstory should have been told BEFORE she was offed, not after.

  • George

Well I guess it’s good for her that she has a job…but to go from one of the best, most layered and deep shows on TV to one of lamest, most formulaic tripe kind of stinks.

  • To Krystal

You may be remembering her from her role as Malcolm’s not-girlfriend on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE.

  • Hey

I was kind of hoping that if the island went back in time – they could possibly save Rousseau and Alex. But again, I don’t want another show that talks about the disruption of the space time continuum.

  • Lizzie

I’m one of those that doesn’t care about the personal stuff. I wanna see good crime plots. If I cared about people rollin’ around in bed I’d get a night job and watch soap operas all day. This chick looks like she belongs on CSI Miami…

  • joules

She was great as the weird girl on Malcolm! I *heart* Cold Case. The show does show more of the characters’ personal lives than on, say, Law & Order (Bobby Goren’s recent life crisis notwithstanding), but I think the writers weave the personal stuff into the show pretty well. Is it my imagination, or was there a vibe between VAlens & Rush at one time (before he hooked up with her sister)?

I have been a diehard Grey’s fan since the pilot episode aired and one of the issues I have with the direction the show’s taken since the end of the second season is that they are adding in too many characters and focusing too much on their crap! I want Shonda to delve into the storyline of the regulars and stop wasting air time on all of these newcomers. It’s just so annoying!

  • Amanda

This was supposed to post on the story above about the new Grey’s cast members…….SORRY!!!!

  • shadester

Yeah i really liked her on Cold Case and they totally dropped the story with her past and Scotty. I thought finally someone i like with him. (well besides Lily, but that would be the end of the show probably!) I wonder what happened.
I did not realize the girl form lost was the girl from Malcom in the Middle. i loved her on that and how she messed with the boys. Its totally clicking now. She had all that hair!! I loved that show, so hilarious!

  • kelliblossom

Come on Michael! Fourteen years isn’t that big of a deal anymore! I am 34 and my husband is 48 and he is in better shape than I am :)

  • YY4ME

Maybe she got the hook up thru Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) who played Mike Valens on Cold Case

  • Annaliese

I’m hoping that means that we’ll see Alex as a kid growing up in the othershood.

COLD CASE IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV. YOU PEOLPE NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING. GET RID OF YOUR STUPID REALITY SHOWS, THEY ARE AWFUL.
