Ausiello TV Scoop: House/Wilson Inch Closer to Coupledom! Plus: A 'Chuck' Death and a 'Gossip' Girl Exits!

Aug 26, 2008, 02:43 PM | by Michael Ausiello

Categories: Ausiello TV

I've done the research and can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that this week's Ausiello TV contains more exclusive scoop than you can shake a stick at. Among the highlights:

* With an assist from Cuddy, House and Wilson start behaving like a real married couple this season on House.

* Someone is dying on Chuck! The twist? There isn't one!

* One of Gossip's Girls goes MIA this fall. Which one? Push play silly and find out!

House/Wilson love each other, yes. And no, I don't know what will happen on the show, but I know one thing and that is that nothing romantic will EVER happen between them. Both of them are staright and has NEVER shown any interest in guys. The writers are just having fun with it. Not with their friendship, though, that's serious.

tamoor Thu, Aug 28, 2008 at 06:37 AM EST

i love emma watson

eney one now emma watson address number?

Gigi Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 04:08 PM EST

My pet peeve is people assuming something will or won't happen on a show as some sort of given. None of you know David Shore or his plans, so let's just act sane for a few minutes and recognize that we don't know what will happen between House and Wilson. Something (REALLY AWESOMELY GAY) could totally happen.

gus Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 03:12 PM EST

What's Chuck?

Rob (ShutUpRob) Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 02:13 PM EST

Please let it be Mr. Faux-Chuck-but-skeevier himself, Morgan. Absolutely makes my skin crawl, especially when the show wastes Julia Ling in scenes with him.

Carlotta Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 11:27 AM EST

EEEE! Thanks so much for the House and Wilson scoop. I am going to hate to see them "break up", though it's good to know that House is ever persistent. Their relationship (in whatever context you may view it) is the heart of the show for me. And yes, I agree with the other comments on the amazing chemistry between Laurie and Leonard.

TMB Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 11:11 AM EST

re: Chuck, please, please, please let it be Morgan!

Persephone Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 08:45 AM EST

The chemistry between House and Wilson is incredible. Watching them is so much more fun than watching House with Robot Girl 13. I'm not Hilson - I think two characters established as straight should stay straight - but there's no denying that House and Wilson need and love each other, and they are their friendhip is the heart of the show.

casumagi Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 04:43 AM EST

I dont want anyone to die on Chuck! He said it's a significant character, but I don't think they'd kill off any of the main ones (chuck, sarah, casey) or Chuck's fam and friends... So this significant someone could be Bryce? I mean, he was the one who got Chuck into this whole thing anyways. But I'd rather it'd be Beig Mike, who is significant in his own way, cause I like Bryce!

KM Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 03:47 AM EST

wow Josh sure knows how to keep us on the edge of our seat! but i dont think i wanna know who dies on Chuck... i love all the cast!

Susan Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at 02:49 AM EST

Can't wait for HOUSE to return Tues. Sept. 16th at 8 p.m. EST...a little plug. I think that Wilson should forgive House because Wilson has been an enabler to House for years. Maybe if he hadn't been, Amber wouldn't have been on the bus.
NO MORE 13!!!

Psych Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 11:29 PM EST

Most of us H/W shippers know that House and Wilson will never actually get together, but regardless of that, House loves Wilson. That is undeniable. The teasing is just a fun bonus.

Kath Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 11:21 PM EST

I like the glasses! But I miss Annie :(

Pat Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 10:15 PM EST

Shore will tease House/Wilson till the cows come home but while it's a great platonic relationship it's never going to actually turn into a sexual one on TV. It's just another way the writers mock the audience. Getting the Hilson shippers excited may be great for the moment but it doesn't do much for your long-term credibility.

Killergawp Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 09:51 PM EST

Thank you, thank you, this was a great video. It actually had scoop and best of all no annoying Annie! Still I have to say I miss your classic "I know things you don't, that's why this works!" line. Thanks for the scoop, but please bring some your winning personality back into these videos!

Persephone Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 09:38 PM EST

House and Wilson together are what make me watch the show. Any storyline that has the two of them together gets my vote!

Chuck is my favorite show Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 09:17 PM EST

I'm guessing it's the lady general, the one who ordered Casey to eliminate Chuck/The Intersect.

Bia Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 07:53 PM EST

Where's the big news? House and Wilson are act like a married couple since the show began.

DealwithIt Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 07:04 PM EST

XK - GROW-UP!! Not everyone gets their jollies watching het couples do the onscreen bump & grind. t's just plain BORING!! And no one said anything about House and Wilson being gay. We were talking about two people who love each other.

Ames Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 07:03 PM EST

It'd better not be Captain Awesome or Ellie. They are the best comic relief on the show.

My bet is Bryce. If I remember correctly, he's not dead.

XK Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 06:58 PM EST

Re: Chuck

It's hard to guess who it will be... I'd say Ellie, Awesome, and Morgan are just as integral a part of the show as Chuck, Sarah, and Casey. I guess that leaves some of the other Nerd Herd or Buymore employees, although the only one I would be okay with losing is Big Mike.

The cast is so great as-is, that it will suck to lose any of them. :)

XK Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 06:56 PM EST

Just to clarify...

I certainly have nothing against slash relationships. I just don't understand the impetus here to want to try and read romance into every possible sort of situation.

People read the same sort of thing into the Xena\Gabrielle relationship years ago. It didn't make a whole lot of sense then either, in my opinion, other than the result of a whole lot of projection and wishful thinking by the viewers. I'm not sure why a lot of women are so absorbed by the idea of male/male romance, but it feels like wishful thinking in this case.

In my opinion, love != romance, and I think that always taking it as such is to ignore a lot of the different types of relationships in the world. :)

Shannon Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 06:46 PM EST

Oh god..I'm scared about the Chuck death. =/

Maybe it's his bud at the Nerd Herd? I refuse to think that it's any of the main 3.

XK Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 06:30 PM EST

I do not understand the fixation on making House and Wilson into a romantic couple. What is the fascination with gay relationships?

House and Wilson love each other... that does not mean they are romantically involved or inclined. The term bromance is very much an accurate one, in my opinion.

It's bad enough that Kristin over at E! is continually pushing the relationship fan-nonsense... don't let it infect EW too!

Yay! Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 05:51 PM EST

Michael! You actually reported on House and Wilson! I'm kind of in shock. That said -- LOVE IT. About time that the media started reporting about them as the true OTP they are.

Psych Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 05:48 PM EST

Wait a second, did you say "DEATH threats" for the House/Wilson stuff? Because I know the blackmailing, spying, and couple's counceling is real, is the death threat thing real too or are you just exaggerating?

Kaoru Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 05:20 PM EST

Papa Smurf in the Window...why? Kinda cool, though. I vote Lion-O for next time.

diana Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 04:50 PM EST

Hey... that's definitely my youtube video of House and Wilson you used... haha.

I feel somewhat special :)

Crystal Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 04:46 PM EST

I live for the House/Wilson!!!!! I am so excited. Does this mean House and Wilson are going to be roommates again. They were so much fun as roommates. If they do start living together I want to see more of how they relate - more like Holmes and Watson with a touch of bromance or romance. Is there a difference?

AJ Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 04:46 PM EST

House and Wilson just need to do it, already. Jeez. Talk about UST.

Mandy Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:51 PM EST

I, too, like the glasses...
I totally love House and Wilson's bromance. They really make this show.

Jenna V. Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:48 PM EST

maybe the Chuck death is...idk how to explain it...

like 5 years in the future u see someone die and then it goes back to present day after that. hahah. i know that that wont happen but man! i want to know! i love that show...

Lex Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:42 PM EST

I miss Annie ... it's just not the same without her.

Emma Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:16 PM EST

Yay, House and Wilson! How great a couple are they?

H. Emily Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:14 PM EST

Awesome phrasing, point of view, and background clips for the House/Wilson info. This made my day! Thanks!

Christina Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 03:01 PM EST

Tony Hale is joining "Chuck", not Will Arnett.

Christina Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:57 PM EST

Now if only House/Wilson would become a real, canon couple. That would make me extremely happy.

Jackson Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:43 PM EST

My bet on the Chuck death is Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence). Then Will Arnett's character takes over the Buymore as seen in the comic-con trailer.

Buckly Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:32 PM EST

Kelly Rutherford was "traveling with her family"? Isn't that what summer hiatus is for? Rough life, actors.

laylagalise Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:27 PM EST

I was excited about the 'House' news, even if I already knew about that bit of scoop (it's in the season 5 promos). Diggin' the glasses!

Scott Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:04 PM EST

Mel, commenting on a blog in the middle of the day doesn't make your opinion matter.

The glasses were cute!

Rod Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 02:01 PM EST

My guess is that Casey "dies" on Chuck by flat-lining after the (**insert spoilers here if you know what happens**), but then is revived moments later and lives to fight another day.

Mel Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 01:57 PM EST

Michael- FYI glasses don't make you look smart.
