If Sarah Drew’s split-second cameo on last week’s Mad Men left you wanting more, you’re in luck: The actress has landed a juicy role on Privileged, the forthcoming CW drama created by her ex-Everwood boss, Rina Mimoun.
Hey, that qualifies as an Everwood reunion in my book!
OK, the deets: Drew will play Joanna Garcia’s BFF from college in the show’s eighth episode. And although she’s only signed on for one episode, there’s significant recurring potential. Of course, as Mimoun points out, that’s frequently the case where Drew is concerned.
"You can’t just have her on once," she laughs. "[Her Everwood character] Hannah was never supposed to be on for more than, like, a two-episode arc, and she ended up staying forever!"
And we were all the better for it.
Privileged, BTW, debuts Sept. 9. And you can’t be mad at me about that headline. They both worked on Everwood and now they’re reuniting – i.e., an Everwood reunion! Sheesh.

Sarah Drew is a very nice, sweet person off-camera. I was an extra in a movie she shot recently, and she has an excellent sense of humor, a great laugh and treated people really well. I was very impressed by her.

Psssh, of all the people on Everwood, Sarah is hardly the person that fans want to see. She was on for like 1 1/2 seasons, she was really whiny and annoying, like April on Gilmore Girls. If you have something of substance about an actually important Everwood alum, be sure to let us know.
I believe Sarah was someone’s date or at least a girl at the party in the beginning of the episode.
I wish they’d get her on “Brothers & Sisters” with Emily. She could play a friend from college or something.

I hope she still has time for more work on Mad Men…clearly there is a story to be told about her and Sal’s relationship.
Oh, Rachel, I disagree. By the end, especially, I was way more interested in Bright and Hannah than Ephram and Amy. There was something mesmerizing about Hannah, and the way she sort of grew on (and transformed) Bright…It’s interesting, she plays a lot younger than she is. Maybe now she’ll be playing her true age?
