Elizabeth Berkley, who flirted with the L word during her Showgirls days, is joining the Showtime hit for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm to me exclusively. She’ll play the straight girl that got away from Jennifer Beals’ Bette in college.
Berkley and Beals, in addition to being real-life buds, co-starred together in the 2002 comedy noir Roger Dodger. For a glimpse at their sparkling chemistry, check out this popular YouTube clip, shot behind the scenes on Rodger Dodger.
The L Word’s sixth and final season debuts next January, although Showtime recently announced that the L-verse would live on in the form of a spin-off — perhaps anchored by Beals and Berkley? (Check out that YouTube clip again; I see potential!)

NOOOOOOoooooo!!!! If the series ends without Bette and Tina together, I might just consider the first 5 seasons a waste. B&T are the Ross and Rachel of The L Word. No matter how many times they broke up, no matter how mad they got at each other…you knew they were meant to be. If we MUST have Berkley, throw her at someone I couldn’t care less about. Say…Jenny!
I can’t wait to see Bette now getting away from Elisabeth’s character. I want to see them acting together again bc they have so much chemistry but not as much as Jenn & Laurel as B&T. They still will be together at the end of s.6, i’m sure bc Ilene won’t break them apart again, that wouldn’t make sense.Everybody knows they HAVE to be 2gether

If Tina stopped whining and stop being so wishy washy I would not mind seeing Bette & Tina living happily ever after. But geech, enough already TINA. First she quits her job to get pregnant and is dominated by Bette, after she has the Angie, she grows a spine and becomes her own woman, but wait, now she wants to be with a man. She has a man but gets bored with him and now wants Bette back. Okay, is it me does Elizabeth & Jennifer look like they should be related?
Belle – Tina is not whiny and wishy-washy. Did you not watch S5? Please get over the stupid S3 man storyline already. Tibette are the love of each other’s lives as JB and LuH have stated countless times already.

Obviously Tibette needs to live for the show to end on a high note. They should have done this in an earlier season, not so close to the end. NOT happy about this.

Is this a joke or what? Berkley on The L Word or on any show for that matter? And, with Beals? Everytime I see Berkley on something I switch it off to another channel. Bette and Tina – Beals and Holloman – can’t be beat why does Madame Chaiken keep beating them with a stick? And, now an Elizabeth Berkley stick. Man, she’s just sucks. No talent whatsoever. Poor Jennifer. Makes one wonder if Ilene really does like Jennifer to stick her with Berkley. Sounds like someone has issues with someone else. This has got to be someone’s idea of a bad joke that laid stink bomb eggs.

I never talk bad about people – not even actors – but I just don’t like her. Didn’t like her on CSI, didn’t like her in the Bravo dance show – nothing. I don’t know what it is about her that I don’t like. But I hope they write good stuff for her. With this being the last season I wish they would just focus on the central characters and not bring any new girls in the mix.
